    2" Leveling Kit
A few months ago I decided to get bigger A/T tires and 17" wheels along with a 3" leveling kit. For about 2 months car just a tad rougher on the freeways, which I expected. Now its riding really rough. Going pass 60 mph my trucks shakes and my steerling wheel as well. I noticed a couple of weights that came off my drive on my driveway. So I brought my car in for service and they re-balance my tires. It drove fine for a few days. Now this morning I was on my way to work and my truck is doing the same thing. Is this normal? Any solutions?

Where are you feeling the shaking? Is it in the steering wheel, do you feel it by your feet, or is it more in your butt? Is the roughness dependent on speed?

A leveling kit or a lift kit? A leveling kit is not going to affect your steering.

    Was it road force balanced?

What rims, and what are the specs?

Some rims may be hub or lug centric and require small spacers to make them work well I THINK......im not a rim guru, but I swear I've heard those things before.

Also, check ur tires for any blisters/buldges/our of roundness.

The shop shoulda noticed any imperfections, but ya never know.

A leveling kit lifts the front, so they are both lifts

This. Make sure they were balanced properly. Road force is pretty much the only way with larger tires.

3" for leveling is a lot. It sounds more like a spacer lift. Did you get an alignemtn done?

This could be wearing your wheels causing your wheel to become unbalanced and the wheel throwing weights.

I got pro comp wheels. I did a front leveling kit only. My steering wheel shakes and so does my car. I plan on taking my car in to the same guys again but I don't know if even know what to do.

Steering wheel shake is typically an out of balance issue.

The folks there aren't doing a good job balancing your tires. Find another shop, make sure they do 'road force balancing'. Its a special machine made by Hunter, not every shop has it. Don't pay too much because I've seen shops do ripoffs for the use of their machine. They shouldn't charge any more than normal for it.

If you did the level kit and did not get your front end aligned then your tires will wear more most likely on the inside which after a little while of driving will make the tires not balanced.

Bottom line: if you did not get a front end alignment, do so or you will keep having this problem no matter how the tire is balanced.
