looking to replace shocks and add spacer lift...I do not off road at all just like the height of a lift
just bought a new 2013 trd sport 4x2 DCSB v6...I am going to install 5100s fronts at 1.75 or 2.5 and Icon progressive 1.5 aal in rear along with a flowmaster 50 delta flow...really looking forward to the mods

what should I do with the stock stuff which is only about 300 miles on it?

sell it or keep it to replace on truck when I sell it and part out the mods?

if I sell the stock stuff, what could/should I ask for it?

    stock trd sport shocks? $
    stock muffler? $

Always keep stock stuff if you plan to sell in the future. Don’t think your gonna get much cash from stock shocks and muffler.

The cost of swapping the stock muffler back will be pointless considering the cost of labor to weld compared to the cost of a muffler like the chokemaster.....specially once the chokemaster has been used for awhile.

Donating in the "free stuff" thread may be easiest...............anyone want a magnaflow muffler welded on full stock piping catback?

Free, u take it all or nothing tho. 15k on the muffler

Keep it. You never know what may happen down the road. Its easier to get rid of a vehicle with the stock parts on it. I have all my original parts. Also good to have if something goes wrong with the aftermarket parts.

Well all depends on how muffler was installed. Clean bolt on or hack and weld in. Cost couldn't be much either way. Regardless I would keep stuff, if OP ever planned on selling Tacoma. Better to sell an "unmolested" vehicle IMO.

Sell it for a few dollars or give it away. If no one wants it, throw it away cause it costs you more to store it for the life of the vehicle if you decide to keep it than just throwing it away.

Good point..........I just never settle for bolt on/clamps. The 1 time I tried, I had leaks all over the place.

If u got the room for the muffler (its pretty big iirc) keep it I suppose..... I just didn't have the room, and don't intend on selling the truck for a long time, and odds are a replacement muffler would be needed.

Same with shocks tho......the stockers don't need to be kept if the trucks in the family long... they will need replacing anyhow and can be found here, and craigslist rlly cheap..... and a set of 5100s are cheaper than oem replacements new/new.

I guess in the end its all personal preference.

Oh, so did I.....still running a magna. I didn't mean to sound like they are bad or anything. Its the chokemasters I don't like.

I only ditched stock piping and that muffler for the urd mk2 exhaust.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
Sell. Someone with an older Gen 2 will need parts. You won't make a fortune but it will help.

I kept all my stock parts even though I'll probably never sell the truck.

Didn't like it at first but it may be my fault....in 1 day I installed headers, y pipe, and the 3" exhaust...........killed my low end tq.

Can't place blame on 1 specific item in all fairness.

I mainly hated the exhaust due to the insane rasp.

To get my tq back I got the trd blower and its much better....I don't hear much rasp at all........due to the blower whine, or more air moving....I don't know
