Haha well my game plan is... Find someone to cosign for me with good credit and go pickup a brand new or used 125 from a dealership.

I don't have good luck with Craigslist lol, first quad I bought blew up 2nd time riding it, second quad bottom end blew up right after I sold it. First dirt bike been a nightmare since I've bought it lol. So thinking about going the smart route.

Yeah...go to a military motorpool and look underneath some hmmwv's. I'll bet you will have a hard time finding a truck that isn't drooling gear oil out of the portals...Plus they are not very strong. Shoot, I'm running the same wheels and tires that they run on stock toyota stuff. I've got a spare 8" clamshell...3.73 gears though

I just looked up those bikes. About $4.5k
I think I do a pretty good job of biffing it up on a bike that's 1/4 the cost

Really though, I'd love to try getting in to some of that, but it would take me a long time. Black Rock in Oregon is supposed to be amazing.

Do the seals just not last long at the portal? Hm, I was assuming they where stronger than the Toyota diff and CV's, at least the 1st gen Tacoma's. One of the bigger draws when I was looking at it was being able to unbolt the CV's instead of having to plug them in and out and all the disassembly that comes with that. It would be a significant amount of work and money, but its an interesting thought. Dad has an H1, so every now and then I go under there and its like, if I could just swap stuff over...

I should do the measurements, but I feel like it wouldn't fit well in there with the inboard brakes and everything. At least not without moving the engine up or back. Idk, I'll to get the tape measure out when I get home just to know.

Yea, downhill bikes get stupid expensive real fast.

I have an entry level dual suspension Giant I need to get a new fork for before I hit Black Rock. I have several friends that go there religiously. Its a very nice trail system for downhill biking.

    There's some Black Rock footage:
