I checked my freezer last night to see how much tasty beef I had available to bring. Imagine my surprise when I got out there  and had only one package of ribeyes left. No T-bones, and 1 package of sirloin tips. I know for sure about a month ago I had at least 5 packages of each. My suspicion :spy: is that my douchebag brother has helped himself to whatever he wanted.

So that being said, I will still be the purveyor of fine meats (Thanks Mike!) but it will be store-bought, and not so fine as the range fed moo moo that I have been enjoying. I can get more steaks, or I can get a few racks o ribs. I am good either way.

So lets see some chatter as to the Friday night menu. Spuds are a given, beers are a given, the rest is up in the air. Best if able to be cooked over the firepit.

i say steaks over ribs and i can get some veggies and tortillas for kabobs and fajitas. Yamahahauler said he's bringing a bbq and i have a little propane stove for sides/coffee. Also, I have a pork loin I can bring. And condiments.

Thanks Angie, I was thinking steaks as well. Ribs would be a lot of work trying to keep the temp in check. I did see your previous message regarding the leftover steak for kabobs and what not. Great plan!

I plan on bring a few steaks, and some spices. As for breakfast Saturday, ill bring my usual massive amount of pancakes, sausage and eggs. Since their may be other cooking utensils, some could help. I hate when I make breakfast and some.gets cold by the time I'm done on my little stove.

I will have a fire pie for use and will try bringing enough bread, butter, and pie filling for everyone to make dessert.
I'm terrible about meal planning so let me know if you need me to chip in somehow, either with some food (tell me what) or financial help.

Don't forget some garbage bags just in case. I had pm'ed about beer n other things. I hear the garbage often gets full and might need to pack out our own.
I was planning on bringing assorted camp gear, cheap easy meals, and a 1/2 case of Hefeweizen or so. I'm trying to keep the gear amount reasonably low though.:)

Not me. up 'til now the only 4 wheeling I do is an occasional side trip in Eastern Oregon. Some rough terrain, but seldom needing more than good tires & 4wd.
