If you're looking in that area you might want to take a look at Duncan as well.

Jobs are at Morenci so probably be Morenci or Clifton I guess. Assuming I'm offered a job there.

    3.73s!

Going to build up my 80 series into a heavy ass beast on 38s turned by a full 5.9 12 valve cummins on 1 tons. ...as soon as I have a job and money for the drive train and a place to work on it. Anyway, the Taco went back to 3.73s and 33s from 4.56s and 35s.

Well now I got a call from Freeport about the Miami/Globe mine, phone "screening" Monday. Morenci is still a possibility, waiting to hear back about that.

So what's the deal with smog and vehicle laws outside of tuscon/phoenix?

No smog, engine swaps possible, tire coverage, mud flaps, lift laws, lights? etc etc

In NV, outside of Washoe and Clark, pretty much anything goes. What can I expect, wanting to build my FJ80 with cummins, 1 tons, and 38s.

Honestly you should be fine. Any of the smaller rural towns, atleast my hometown, are VERY lenient.

Yeah if you have your vehicle registered up here in the mountains no smog is required. I have never been bothered about my mudflaps either. But stefen gets stopped it seems like weekly for mudflaps in Tucson

I have been thinking about makeing a job transfer out to Phoenix lately. I'm getting tired of Jersey & I want to move somewhere warmer. I like the idea of having multiple climates within driving distance as mentioned in previous posts. I'm making a small vacation trip out to PHX next week to check out the town/city and I started contacting people to look at rentals. I can definitly see that I can rent a house thats 2x more space than the apartment I am currently renting for less money than what i'm paying now. I dont think I will get a chance to meet up and talk to anyone here on TW, but i will ask locals what their opinion is about living in Phoenix. This thread has answered alot of questions for me.

A future welcome to the valley bud! I've lived in flagstaff for 2 years, and Phoenix for 6. My fiancé is from Jersey and I'm from CT. Feel free to pm me with any comparison questions!
