    Yeah.
    We are hoping that they will eventually start making something worth buying.

    According to the US those in Gitmo were taken from the battlefield or they had intel that they had planned attacks or parts of cells. They have relseased some and they went directly back to the field to attack us.

    I guess you guys would call this necessary collateral damage to ensure the protection of the general public. I'll just raise my hand next time the police are trying to catch a "terrorist" and take a bullet for the safety of the public.

    Actually no. You could've quoted me on saying how I don't like the direction its going, but hey , you have .... an agenda I guess.

    But you do prove the point that some here are taking what is said out of context to simply mix up the talking points further.

    On the other hand you weren't there to do a job that has no gratitude by an ever increasing number of people who will distance their government by disliking it , rather than keep it in line by being a part of it.

    So ill put words in your mouth too, so you are saying:
    "I deserve to get away with anything I want and have total freedom aka anarchy and (you) don't care about how difficult it is to balance freedom security, and would rather just blame gov for everything."

    So, here is what I dug up from the Verizon Privacy Policy (since I am at work, and the Verizon is on the knife's edge of this debate)

    You can find out how we use, share and protect the information we collect about you in the Verizon Privacy Policy, available at verizon.com/privacy

    And an excerpt:

    We may disclose information that individually identifies our customers or identifies customer devices in certain circumstances, such as:

    - to comply with valid legal process including subpoenas, court orders or search
    warrants, and as otherwise authorized by law;
    - in cases involving danger of death or serious physical injury to any person or other
    emergencies;
    - to protect our rights or property, or the safety of our customers or employees;
    - to protect against fraudulent, malicious, abusive, unauthorized or unlawful use of or
    subscription to our products and services and to protect our network, services, devices
    and users from such use;
    - to advance or defend against complaints or legal claims in court, administrative
    proceedings and elsewhere;
    - to credit bureaus or collection agencies for reporting purposes or to obtain payment
    for Verizon-billed products and services;
    - to a third-party that you have authorized to verify your account information;
    - to outside auditors and regulators; or
    - with your consent.

    The Gestapo had a 100% arrest and conviction rate on all reported crimes.

    We have a Constitution and the Bill of Rights for a reason.
    Your comment reflects the dangerous attitude that the government is your friend and will never misconstrue anything you did or said to press charges.

    Do you realize that when you are arrested, bail is set at 500,000, and you pay a bondsman 50,000, even if the charges are dropped, you DO NOT GET THAT MONEY BACK! The bondsman gets his 500k back, but your payment to him is gone.

    So you can't raise 50k and sit in a cell until charges are dropped.
    You're building utility and housing bills, but making no money.

    The first man accused of bombing the Florida Olympics.
    More than one person accused in the recent ricin mailings.
    More than one person accused in the anthrax mailings in 2001/2002.

    Sure... go ahead and believe that just because you aren't doing anything wrong, you don't have anything to worry about.
    Just participating in this forum COULD put you in contact with people who may be on a watchlist, which in turn would draw attention to you, and anyone that you have contacts with.

    They are not getting content from the cellular calls, but they ARE able to get content from any electronic communication.

    Honestly?

    The only Google product that I use is Google Earth, and I'm only using that at work from behind a .gov domain.
    I don't do Facebook or Twitter, I haven't logged into Myspace in years, and I've never posted anything there other than a couple of photos. I have a Linkedin ID that is used for professional contacts only.

    Which includes text/SMS messaging, and I believe data (web, etc.) interactions, for the record.

    But for which they cannot access without a warrant.*

    *this is my current understanding. Obviously, there may be forces at play which have not fully come to light.

    I was sworn in as a condition of accepting a job as a traffic signal technician for a city of 100k just outside of Los Angeles.

    There is no reason why ANY government worker should not be required to take that oath.

    That is not even search of electronic information... this removes the need for a warrant for the physical search of the contents of an electronic device.
