TRD Sport suspension

I have an 09 dlb cab w/TRD Sport suspension. I've noticed it seems real sensitive to the road surface, like my tires need to be balanced. This really depends on the surface of the road. I've had my tires balanced by the dealer & that helped a lot. But it seems from time to time i still have some vibration or what seems like vibration depending on the road. Does anyone else have this or is that the ride of the sport suspension?

 

Which tires do you have, BFG Rugged Trails? I have those on my '08 and I'm not real impressed with them.

 

i only have 9k on my 09 sport trd and it feels like the tires need to be balanced. so to answer your question im sorry. i cant. maybe thats just how they ride?????? next time i go to the dealer ill have tires balanced and rotated and see what happens.

 

What tire pressure are you running?

First, check the tire pressure. They recommend 29psi which I think is too low.

Try experimenting with different air pressures and see if anything changes. I run about 32-34psi myself with the Bridgestone Dueler H/T's.

Or, you could rotate the tires and see if the vibration changes in terms of position (front or back).

 

I run 35psi and the tires (Bridgestones) feel alot better, especially turning/corning. Although I can't wait to replace them. Rain traction sucks.
I have not noticed it in a while, but I use to had a small "out of balence" feeling during the first mile of driving after the truck sat for a while. Just figured the tires had flat spots from being parked.

 

Mine showed up with 40 psi all around, rode like crap. Currently running 32 up front, 30 on the rears, feels much better now. If I need to haul anything heavy I'll bump the rears back up a little.

 

I've got the Bridgestone Duelers on my truck. I haven't checked the air pressure yet. I notice the vibration on asphalt around 70mph then when i get to concrete it smooths out. The tires were balanced by the dealer a couple of months ago, that did help a lot. I've also noticed the small out of balance a few times when the truck was cold, then after a mile or so it was smoother. Maybe it's just the tires, road surface or tire pressure. I'll have the dealer check it out.

 

I have an 06 Double Cab TRD Sport that I just bought about a month ago. I put new tires on it the day I bought it, I was a little worried with it being 2WD and the snow in Utah so I ditched the Duelers and went with Yokohama's Geolander A/T-S at 32 PSI. They rode a bit bumpy at first but then I had them road force balanced and now it rides nice and smooth. I have noticed that on concete roads the truck seems to ride a bit bumpy though, but that just might be the nature of a leaf spring suspension? Or maybe I need a new set of shocks?

 

I have a 09 trd sports double cab with the Dueler tires. Truck feels great on and off road. I don't get no vibration at all. When I go over bumps you tend to feel it a bit in the front but nothing serious at all.
