What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

my 10+ year old suspension is in dire need of replacement. trying to narrow it down to what I want.

 

All pro expos.

 

honestly, being that I planned on doing more to the truck, I should have originally bought a new pack. That being said, in my opinion if you just want to extend the pack a couple more years AAL. I am sure many other members can help you decide, at the end of the day it's your truck and your wallet.

 

i'll probably just get a whole new pack. they are about completely horizontal

 

They are the first ones that popped into my head when I thought about doing it, I have not done any research on other companies or leaf packs.

 

They have worked great for me. Handles the rtt and all the other weight in the rear when camping/wheeling. Also have the 1.5 shackles.

 

new wheels installed tday!!!...i just left the center caps off cuz they were waaaay too big.....just don't look good in my opinion

 

Sweet wheels, but what is everyones deal on here w/center caps. How come nobody like them.

I wish I had manual hubs because my CV's wouldn't spin all the time and I wouldn't have to deal with boot ripping...but then my wheels wouldn't fit and that would make me sad.

I've recently done something similar. Not much room under the hood. Starting to get pretty crowded under there.

 

Damn! That's a clean engine. Could you give me more info on your dual battery set up. And what do you use to keep your engine so clean???

 

Never mind I now see its a single battery setup. Still clean as a mother!

 

Ran the plumbing for the front locker and replaced a diff drop kit with the Toytec one.

 

Yeah, only a single yellowtop at this point. I do want to add another one tho.

As for keeping it clean, well, it is a constant battle. After wheeling, I always spray it down pretty good, never let the mud set up. Use the pressure washer.

Yeah, kinda boring.

 

yeah that are always turning on my k1500 i think if i had manual hubs on that i might pick up some mpg

 

I've never used the pressure washer on my engine. I'm guessing just stay away from the electrical and I should be good to go. I heard some people use purple power or something similar.
