Thanks, just ordered a 3 terminal switch for it. Stupid question though, did you just unclip the attached switch and run the thicker guage wires to the new switch? If so, black ground, white and blue are which ones? And yes, I realize the year warranty will be voided, thanks for updating that!

 

#2: 12v Positive Source (IE battery, fuse block, etc)
#3: 12v Accessory (12v+ to your lights)
#4: Ground (for the light on the switch)

Black goes to #4
White goes to #2
Blue goes to #3

yeah this is right. The switch will come with instructions as well. And i guess ill just have to void the warranty also because the switch that comes on it is not very attractive or high quality

 

thats exactly what I said when I first saw it. The harness is great, the switch not so much. But I had planned on replacing it anyway.

 

Picture of said switch? This sucks. I may want to switch mine too. But if it voids the warranty...well hell. Haha.

 

Oh. I was under the impression you can switch it from spot to flood. So there is only one mode?

 

I just wanted something more stock, this switch has adhesive on the back and you place it wherever. The button on it doesn't feel solid, but it does its intended purpose. The harness itself is fantastic.

Not sure where I will put that. I'd rather mount it somewhere than stick it on. Sucks that the wire comes in through the top like that. Oh well. As long as the light works good!

 

The light itself is very well made and the output is above what I expected, not to mention these guys have excellent customer service!

 

Agreed! A switch is the least of my worries.

 

well i didnt have time to wire it cause it started raining on me but heres the 20" light with my "stealth" mod done to it ..........

Well I'm not a fan of chrome and besides the skid plate, I'm goin for the "stealth" look on the front of the truck. Problem is, pretty much all lights come with a chrome shroud and face plate so I just take the light apart and paint the face. It's a little time consuming but its worth it in the end to me. I'm not sure if it makes a difference with light output or not but I don't see how it really could and if it does then these lights are just really bright anyway. Lol see the difference ..........

Negative. Light bar would not fit on the tabs of the avid bar. Wound up drilling a couple holes on the lower bar. Came out looking nice though. And boy are these 20" bars bright!
