Look for an Amp and sub's to go with Image Dynamic Speakers.

So I need suggestion in finding an AMP and sub for my current setup. I have Speaker & Tweeter Mounts with Image Dynamics CTX65CS for my front speaker. I have an AMP pack from Alpine (

$290 KTP445u Alpine KTP-445U Universal Power Pack

KTP445u) that connects directly to the head unit.

I need:

- Sub Box for a Access CAB, Single 10" or 12" sub
- Sub Woofer suggestion to go with the Sub Box.
- An a AMP to go with the package.
- Need Suggestion for Rear Speaker upgrade also.

For rock, yes. Can't speak for country music, as I don't listen to it myself, but it should.

 

i would recommend going with a alpine MRV-M500 and a alpine type R 10". in my opinion the type r sounds awesome for country and rock, it's what i mainly listen to. For the box if your handy and have the tools, it can be cheaper to make your own box.

 

Thanks for the suggestion, If you have time could you please give me a link for reference for the Sub because I found multiple Type R Subs. Regarding the amp, is it a 500W, wouldn't I need 1000 watt amp?

 

The new type r subs are able to handle 300-1000rms at 2 ohms, the amp that i suggested has a rating of 500rms at 2ohms, so it's in range but wouldn't get the full potential of the sub, but it would still sound good. Since your budget is $500 max, personally i like to be alot less than my max budget, so i would go for the older model SWR-1023D 2ohm subwoofer which would match the amp perfectly and could be found for cheap on ebay/Amazon.com/kijiji. Check out sonicelectronix.com it'll actually show you the current and previous models.

When you are playing rock and country, you want to be able to feel those drum beats and hear them clean and clear, so you need the sound quality over the power in my opinion.

Also if looking to cut cost alittle you could get the mrp-500 which is the last model but same specs.

 

I don't know so much about audio, but I do listen to rap at times. So I like the bass to hit hard when appropriate. SO for the Amp, do I need one for my front speaker, and another for the subs?

 

Arent you using the Alpine (

KTP445u) to power the front speakers? if so it would work perfectly, the speakers you have are rated at 100rms and the power pack is rated at 45rms x4 and 90rms x2. so if you have it hooked up to the front speakers at 90 rms each it'll be loud enough that you don't even need rear speakers, i have 100rms going to my front speakers and it's plenty loud enough. so all you need is the mono amp to power you subwoofer and you have a awesome sounding system.

I have a alpine amp (pdx-v9) which is 500rms to my 10" type r sub (the older model), and i can feel the drum notes through the seat and if i play rap it'll rattle the truck.

your alpine hu should have a sub output so it's easy to hook up the mono amp.

Than buy or build a sub box.

 

OOO nice , the power pack amp is plugged into the head unit, and bring out the power to the front and rear speaker also. Well, it seems I am hooked on this setup so far. I just need to get a sub box, which I have no idea how to build. So I gotta buy one from a source.
