that Welk run looks brutal at times, but awesome! Glad to see a 2wd was capable out there. Makes me wanna explore and see how far i can go til i need a tug

I didn't know that there was still access up there anymore.

 

Well then when I've got some new shoes and am properly prepared I might just go out there and see how far I can get! I'm pretty good about judging where I'll get stuck and where I won't

 

still access is a bit of an over statement. I think a 2wd is going to have to get a bit of speed to get up the ampm entrance, and then they're getting air at the top...

well, I cant wrap my head around this one, I came back from a lite dirt run to test the rear shocks, I keep getting this rattle like clunk almost like something is loose, I have all the bolts/nuts and such crazy tight, I confirmed its translation from something in the shock mounts to bedcage, like there's a lot of slop, but there isn't, its driving me crazy. Anyone with a cage have any advise?

 

Do you have the little rubber anti-rotation spacers on the upper shock eyes around the spacers? Long shot cuz seems it would be a minor "clunk" but it's a thought.

 

Is there a chance that some metal or some slag might be loose bouncing around inside the tubes ??....

ya think so, just pulled up a vid of my buddies sand car with bypasses all around, noisey as hell, Brian called me back too said the bypasses. LOL

 

ya all the rubber liner/spacers are in place.

Unfortunately yes

There is a plastic piece in the main compression tube that is solid, you can put a bleeder in that will let the oil flow through easier which should soften the normal driving and lessen the clicking....but offroad the noise will always be there.

 

off roading and on the hwy don't really hear it, streets below 35 you hear it, I may try the bleeder thing though, Thanks Matt.
