bed mearsurements ??

I am 200 miles away from my truck, i am thinking about a 14 ft Jon Boat. The width of the boat is 57 inches. Does anyone know exactly how much room we have between the wheel wells? I am sure i have room above the wheel wells? I have an access cab.

 

42" between the wells.

it also narrows down to 56" right by the tailgate

 

That sounded so crazy, I had to go look for myself. I guess that's for some extra support at the back of the bed.

 

yeah, it's pretty weird.

 

I wouldn't want to try to carry a 14ft boat in a 6ft bed anyways.

 

Should be good with the gate down and a few straps.

 

But I live in the country.

Thanks guys, looks like i will have to drop back to a 12 ft Jon boat, i was going to build a extension rack to slide into the reciever to help support the 14 ft boat. I'll check around and see if anyone builds a narrower boat
