This is the deck I built and I can still use the box. As an added bonus, I can safely store stuff under the deck since I added a lock to the tailgate. The ramp is extendable to 10' and stores in the U channel just below the deck so I still have about 15 inches high of usable space in the box. I absolutely love my deck, it's great not having to worry about a trailer, especially in rough logging roads!

loks good. but damn I hope you got air bags or something to help with that load. Can am commanders are what about 1500 to 1800 pounds(will depend on if you have the 800 or the 1000, and what extras you have. but they some where between 1500 and 1800)? I know they a few 100#s more then the rhino and it weighs 1250. IMHO bed looks good, but i would not haul the commander like that with the taco. close to over loading it if you are not already over loading it.

Cross straps with a lot of slack under them and no wrap on the load

You don't like to do a wrap incase you need to spike the brakes ?

I've seen a truck launch tubing right through an intersection panic braking for a red light he didn't see

If you notice, the material has been banded in several spots with steel banding. the material also has wood banded to the bottom(which will not allow it to slide forward or back). the arches have little tangs going thru both top and bottom so material will not roll off the side. The straps are partially wrapped around the skid.... So. The load is secured just fine.

You could pull a George castanza and stop short with ease.

Rear arch is bolted down with 4- 5/8" grade8 bolts. Through the deck into a large displacement plate with the nuts welded to the plate. This way you do not need to access the underside to remove.
