I have a white 4 door 2010 6 foot bed Tacoma, and I am thinking of getting a camper shell but I want one that looks good. Best brand? Thank you.

Its all personal preference. Cant go wrong with ARE or Leer IMO.

ARE's are my favorite because of their sliding windoor option which is really convenient. (I think ARE's are better looking too)

On the other hand Leer makes the 100RCC which is reinforced to handle a RTT or a cargo rack with a lot of weight.

I'd recommend doing some research on shells to get whats right for you.

IMHO leers look the best, although I have a snugtop that's grown on me.

I think that's the last thing he cares about. He wants opinions on looks. :)

does turning tires to black wall out count? How bout added snug top rebel.
In my opinion, nothing compares to snugtop. Ive owned 4, and I've never had anything had to say about them. But I've read they're hard to get east if the Mississippi.

Imo the Leer 100 XQ looks the best but isn't the most functional.

I like the look of the Leer 122. It's not sleek and SUV-looking, but I'm a function over form kind of guy, and that 10 inches over cab height is certainly functional. Now, if only it would clear my garage door on this GenII I would have bought it . . . . . .

Looks-wise, I think the LEER 100XQ looks the best on a Tacoma. Function-wise, I like the shells that stick up higher than the cab like the ARE MX series. The extra head room is really nice, especially if you plan on sleeping back there.

I just ordered an ARE Overland top. The guy a the supplier really sold ARE over Leer because he said they are a much better company to deal with. He seemed to think they were made with superior parts too as he had seen less warrantee claims / returns.

I agree that what looks best is not what functions best.
    Looks:
    Cab Height
    Frameless windows
    Function:
    Mid rise or high rise
framed win-doors (windows are hinged on top and open up, also have a screened slider in the windows)

I absolutely love the function of my windoors and the fact that I can get fresh air when camping in the bed, but the windoors have to have the frame and the frame doesn't look the best.
    Some pics:

You can see that the windows don't sit flush, but the function is amazing. I can get to the front of the bed without climbing in!

Leer 100XQ is the best looking IMO. That's why I bought one.

I personally don't like the one piece side windows, especially on a double cab.

On an Island and Westside - your caps looks awesome. My mind is pretty much set on the XQ.

Does anyone have a pic of a Leer XQ on a black Access Cab?
