Are the spindles and transmission different between the 4runners and Tacomas? Are you able to use most of the parts from a 4runner or does it not work? Just in case I run across and killer 4runner deals for you guys.

Do you think its worth getting P rated tires if they are a killer deal? I found some 285/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers with 85% for $275, but they might be P rated. I'm not sure if they are, but will find out tomorrow. I know they are weaker than an LT, but the price is right. I feel it's not worth it to lose the extra protection, but it's a sweet price.

P rated sidewalls would worry me for wheeling.

Ask that question again when you any of the following after the pedal mod:

    1) Go up Filbert without an e-brake with a police car inches from your rear bumper after the pedal mod.

    2) Wheel

    3) Pull out a boat at the launch.

Actually, I'm wrong. I looked over exactly when the brake/fuel override occurs and it's supposedly only over 15mph. So the previous cases do not count towards why one would not want this ecu update. However, if anyone practices left foot braking, then this is the only possible use case of keeping the original ECU.

I was there last night. I saw a bunch of Tacomas on the way but none in the parking lot I was at.

Mad props to Wet Okole, I made an order for some seat covers the other day, they called me this morning and made sure they were getting my order right. Awesome! Sorry MJ, I may have ordered the same exact seat covers as you :p

Eh, I've just seen people complaining how their truck never felt right after they got it done. I'd rather not have my truck messed with as I like it just the way it is right now.

Hit San Simeon for a quick overnight trip to escape the heat. Drove down via Hollister and Hwy 25 to 198 to 101 and Jolon Road. This takes you to Nacimiento-Fergussen Road and that leads to the coast-it's a cool twisty, windy, mostly one lane road. There are a few spots you can head down some dirt roads too.

There are two campgrounds along the road. It was pretty hot so I opted to go to Kirk Creek-which was jam packed already. Google the place and you'll see why. It's a great camp spot.

Big phat fire and a few beers. Note to self: it's a long way to the bottom of the ladder...

    God Beams in the morning.

Awesome quick trip with the dog. Almost went to Cayucos for breakfast but opted for a relaxing drive home.

idk if I'll order more. The backs are beat to shit as well. Didn't really last too long. Loved how they protect the seats from the d.o.g (don't tell him, he'll be butt hurt) but the price is a little steep.

Truck looks good! I'm jealous of the RTT. I've been debating getting one for a while now

What lift are you running up front?

I know. Those guys were cheap bastards. The one I bought was heaping. Had fire from sundown to well past 10pm and still left some behind :)

I am happy with the tent. There are a couple changes I will make. One, add sacrificial material where the legs rest when folded and get a trailer.

    Up front? Shocks? King.
