    wife wanted hardwood...I didn't want the dog (eventually dogs as she wants a GSD) tearing it up. wood look tile seemed to be a better route. got the color matched grout and my buddy and I will be starting on friday.

    A small handful of select mods.
    That should look really great when you are done. Don't fear a good quality hardwood though. I have 2 full grown GSD's raised since pups on some natural colored oak hardwood with no scratches or anything.

    That's my reasoning as well. Plus figured it would be easier to "glue" the tile down, than hardwood. One of the guys at work put hardwood down on concrete - said it was a royal pain in the rear end.
