had to call in my buddy with a super duty ford today...didn't want to break anything hauling home 2500 lbs of flooring...took two loads in the truck and was squatting quite a bit (with the TSB springs) and realized it would take too many trips (bout 20 miles cross town)

needless to say, he gave me crap for it lol

 

Take him wheeling and give him crap when you have to pull him out

Can you elaborate more on this pls? Wash first, then spray? What does it do to the trk? Remove the rust? Can I do this on my driveway?

I went with the Vertical Surface mount (double-stick), and just mounted it to the inside top corner of the windshield... much cleaner than that long-ass flexible rod/window mount. works perfectly, and I routed the cable through the A-pillar (being careful not to interfere with the airbag).

Just be sure to test the position before you stick it on permanently.

 

Keep an eye on it. I'm using the same one on the a-pillar and a few times it has fallen down (will probably be worse on the hot glass).

 

It definitely is. A little spendy, but I realize what goes into it, and well worth it for a custom USA made product.

 

Picked up the drop line to seal my grill seal get rid of that damn whistling

 

Cleaned out the bed, vacuumed and cleaned interior and gave her a bath.....getting ready to sell possibly tomorrow

 

Done...test drove no whistling!!! except for the supercharger!!

 

Detailed all the minor scratches out of behind the door handles, Polished some blemishes, Cleaned and Conditioned the leather, Detailed the interior, Polish and Buffed the grill and headlights, Checked under for any leaky seals or anything out of the ordinary... Cleaned the weathertechs, Cleaned the bed mat... I did a whole lot of detailing and maintenance. Actually had to take her to her first oil change that wasn't by me as i was undergoing surgery, But i trust these guys and it looks like they did a great job

 

Washed it kinda late... As I was drying it, I felt the towel drag on a not so smooth area... Put my phone flash light (app) to it and discovered...

My truck's not as pink as the picture shows... It's my phone (-_-)




Must have happened Friday night or saturday night... Either way, It was after a car meet/show thing and happened in San Jose .

It's deep and won't buff out... Going to try and buy some OEM touch up paint and hope I can at least lighten it up.

I know Toyota makes Radiant Red pens but they arent cheap man, we own a body shop and it still cost us over 30 bucks for one pen.

 

Yeah I'd be pissed too. Obviously someone doesn't like you and your truck. Last time at that car show.

 

Pardon my ignorance - what is trk - truck ? It's according to how much time you want to spend. I've been doing it since it was new so I just power wash it - let it dry for a day or two and spray it. I live in NJ so there is salt and dirt on the under side. They use tons of salt here and it will rust out any frame eventually. Toyota bought back my 2000 - the frame had rusted completely thru. I put down a blue trap in the drive way. When I'm done I spray some mineral spirits thru the gun to clean it. If you have never done anything to your underside you will probably want to clean up the rust and paint it first. Hope this answers your questions. If not let me know specifically what you want 2 no. the stupid open "cubbies" or "pockets" over the wheel wells inside the bed flew out Saturday. Well, 1 flew outta the bedside and flopped around in the bed, the other was still hanging half in/out of the hole. As soon as I noticed, I took the 1 hanging on for dear life out, and threw them both in the cab.

Worried about possibly injuring others on the road, I left them in the cab till an hour ago. Gooped some GE silicone II (my go to silicone), around the inner contact areas, and popped the dumb things back in. I then ran a thick bead along the seams and smoothed it in. Ill repeat tonight if needed.

What a POS design...............I woulda left em out but the open hole looks terrible.

If this doesn't work, ill be back for suggestions......not much for any screws to "bite" on unfortunately.
