    I don't think I need to trim.

If I remove the mud flaps and get wheel spacers thick enough so that the inside wall of the tire is outside my fender flare, I think I'll be good to go.

however if my diff is shitting on me like is is the wyo trip becomes sketchy. don't feel like driving there on bad bearings or lord knows what is wrong. all i know is it is still making the hum noise. Will replace seal and tighten pinion nut this week to see if that does anything.

Noticed my taco lean is way more pronounced with the dakar pack installed...Is that normal? I haven't taken measurements, but it looks like it's about an inch or more lower on the drivers side. I didn't think it'd be that drastic.

Did you mix up the leafs.. There is specifically a drivers side leaf and a passenger side leaf with the dakars IIRC

    Whoa, that's not right
This ^^^ All first gens have side-specific leafs. Is it only on the rear, or is the front leaning too? Also, clear all shit out of your truck and bed, and check your fuel level. Full tank will make it lean more, but not like that.

Wheeler's five pack leaf springs, Bilstein 5100s (rear), front tint, windshield top tint, Century Camper Shell/Cap/Topper, Wade window visors, Wade bug shield, cassette adaptor (so I can play Slacker Radio via my phone!), Sunday Blues with Dar sticker, Wounded Warrior Project sticker, no NRA sticker 'cause I don't wanna advertise ;-)
I had a wicked case of lean when I had my Wheeler's five packs installed (by someone who didn't know there was a Left and Right as marked by R and L on each leaf). Not as noticeable in the pic as in person, but figure, it is doubled by the fact that the truck already leans, and then if the springs are wrong, the taller one is put on the taller side of the natural lean.

Yeah I know they're side specific and I put them in according to the packing list wheelers sent me. It's still leaning though :notsure: only thing I can think of is I flexed out the driver side pretty hard the other day but did not do the same to the passenger side. Maybe it just needs to be broken in as well. Or the shackle on that side might be too tight

ok fellas, i need your advice. So i been weighing my options

    Convert 2.7 prerunner to a 4x4

sell it and buy a 4x4 and save the headaches

I got a few motivating recommendations saying its not that bad to convert, But I dont recall seeing a 4cyl auto 4x4. am i right??? I want it to stay auto.

Theres a few nice first gen 4x4's in my area at the moment.

Experience is always good, but if you can trade the prerunner for a 4x4 do that instead my .02 cents
