FS: HID Retrofit - Complete

Description - set of 2005-2011 2nd gen headlights converted to HID and blacked out. Work performed by TW forum member ambiguous. FX-R bi-xenon LHD projectors, Morimoto 3Five 35w ballasts, Phillips85122 D2S bulbs, wiring harness, shrouds, and all blacked out with satin black.

These lights are from my 2011 Tacoma so they have the tinted lens. I originally sent these to TBK224 and he kept them for almost 2 years. In that time he damaged and replaced one of the back housings. The replacement housing is correct and has no effect on the lights. I just want any prospective purchaser to know the entire story. Feel free to reach out to ambiguous to inquire about the parts used or what he thinks about the lights. After he sent them to me I decided I'd just sell them as I'm close to selling my truck.

Free bump! I have the exact same setup, the light output is awesome.

 

These are pics as they were built. They were then shipped to me and I've only opened the boxes to ensure nothing was damaged in shipment. These lights have not been used since their conversion so I don't have any output pictures.

Seems my original post might need some clarification. Originally my lights were sent to TBK224 and he purchased the parts and was supposed to perform the conversion. He did not but he did keep the lights and parts for nearly 2 years. When I got everything back ambiguous saved me by performing the conversion. One member pointed out that the original post could be interpreted to mean TBK224 kept my converted lights for 2 years (i.e. that these have been used) and that is not the case. These lights have not been used since ambiguous performed the conversion and you are welcome to contact him with any questions about the quality of the parts used.

 

Any idea how easy it would be to switch the Phillips bulbs to Osram ones?

A couple questions:

o Have the turn signal and parking light "buckets" been painted too?
o I assume from your post these are OEM HLs, not aftermarket. If OEM, what is the history on the HLs themselves?
o Just a confirmation, this is a complete plug and play correct? No need for any other parts, wiring, or converters. Old out, new it, plug it up and go?

 

Yes, the entire interior is black.
OEM, they were on my truck for 1,000 miles before I pulled them so they were like new. However, one of the backs was damaged (mount tab) and replaced as stated in my first post. This is an aftermarket back.
Plug and play completely.

To an earlier question, the bulbs change out like any other headlight bulb if you wanted to use something else but for the cost to change I'm not sure why you want to pull the Phillips bulbs.

These are packed up and ready to ship so unless someone is ready to buy except they want more pictures, I'm not going to unpack them just to take more.

 

Thanks for the answers. Painted buckets are a no-go for me though. Good deal for someone (OEM HLs, FX-Rs, quality bulbs and ballasts), grab 'em up.

Set up is FXR 2.0 projectors with orbit shroud. Philips OEM 85122+ bulbs. Ballasts, bulbs, harness, all included for plug and play. No cutting of OEM harness.

Output is good and whoever gets this set should be happy.

The lenses are in good condition as well.
