Yeah I keep hearing they don't last long, the piping or whatever it is gets worn quick. I think I remember yours were worn in Tahoe, MJ. Seems to me a sacrificial lamb to keep your car clean though. I only ordered the fronts for now. I rarely have people in the back seat.

That's funny because the consensus on the forums is actually the opposite. The ECU reflash helped a lot of people's shifting problems (especially with cruise control).

As far as the brake override, the only time it's going to kick in is if you step on the brakes to dry them off after going through water. When else are you going to have the throttle open far enough before stepping on the brake?

Oh? I guess I'll have to search for the info again and see what the general consensus is. I just remember it being negative last time I looked but that was a while ago.

Cruise Control and Shifting Problems? I experience no shifting problems when I push the clutch in before I shift. :D

Definitely a DIY if you have the slightest mechanical inclination...

On a side note... Purchasing a used boat kills truck mod budget. Fuck I keep finding little piddly things to fix, mod, upgrade, refinish. Hope all the towing doesn't wear the taco out faster.

Ok, here it is, it is not that hard, here's what you need:

    Tools for the plugs
    Enough Diff oil for everything
one gallon jug (window washing jug works good)
Pump w/screw on cap that screws onto aforementioned jug
    Oil pan
Toyota recommends that you replace the crush washer on the plug, you can if you want, i have replaced mine and reused them too.

Don't remember the torque numbers for the plugs. Park the truck level, loosen both (so you know they will both come off), drain, reinstall lower plug, pump oil into the upper fill until it starts to over flow, install upper plug and done.
