Damn you and your logic

 

I have kept labs GSD and now a Catahoula all in apartments.SUCCESFULLY! They are not cheap and you have to remember that a tired dog is ahappy dog, Crate training is essential. My routine with all my pups is to getup first thing in the morning and grab the Chuck it stick and wear their buttout for about 30-45 minutes. My GSD needed to be run every morning a minimum of2 miles or he would bust out of his kennel. Oh yea this is regardless of theweather. Cold and rainy they still need to get their energy out or you shouldplan on coming home to something being torn up
There are several issues with having a large breed dog in anapartment but they can all be dealt with some sacrifice but one. Mostapartments do not allow aggressive breed others have weight restrictions andthere are a ton that flat do not allow dogs period.

I went through hell when I got divorced and needed to moveinto an apartment that would allow GSD. Most apartments think of German Shepherdsas an aggressive breed. I actually had to get my Doctor to write me a BS scriptfor an assistance dog for anxiety.
When I said sacrifice I meant that you’re going to have towalk the dog three to four times a day as he does not have a yard to go play in.Doggie Day Care is an option, but expensive. Dog walking services are an option,but once again expensive. My Catahoula and I will walk run on average 5 miles aday during the week and on the weekends much longer. Dog parks are a great wayto get the energy out of them without wearing your butt out as well.

When I got Lucky (the Catahoula) he did close to $3000 worth of damage tothe apartment I was living in the first week I had him. Now that he is used tothe pattern things are great

 

I can finally eat solid food, chicken express has never tasted so good.

I know I am out. I'm going to Houston on Saturday and have a drinking-appointment with some of my wife's friends that evening. I have to be home by 7p.

Whew, we have had a few things come up too, so it was going to be tough to make it. I still plan on grabbing a beer then, just don't know where or exactly when. Tex, I'll hit you up as we get closer to the weekend, I'm thinking just the Saucer, I know that's not real close for you, but I'll let you know for sure.

 

Sounds good. Downtown is not too far to make it out but WOBwould be so much better. Last time I was at the saucer the next morning was not so nice to me.

Time still up in the air, I don't think before 2 so you should be fine. I'm thinking to closer to 6:00ish or sometime after dinner.

 

Saucer is great as long as you do not drink on an empty stomach.
