    You're right, they don't have the resources to monitor every transmission. So, this is where it'll be stored;

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utah_Data_Center

    What do you plan to do with your life 20 years from now? 30 years? If it suits somebody's purpose, they will be able to look you up and see what you've said at some point in the past. Whether it be to charge you with something or blackmail you into keeping quiet. The info WILL be there and some low level technocrat will have access to it. Have you ever sent an email or had a conversation that may be considered racist? Homophobic? Anarchist? Religious? Who knows what will be considered politically incorrect in the future?

    Ponder this;

    Just to add to this, there is a second data center planned for MD. http://www.datacenterknowledge.com/...-to-build-860-million-hpc-center-in-maryland/

    So, these guys are monitoring every email, phone call, text, etc...

    Then two asshole wannabe jihadi's go online, read the al qaeda boy scout handbook on bomb making, and travel to muslim countries and meet with radicals. Their family abandons them here due to shoplifting.

    Take it a step further and Russia hands these douche bags to the Feds on a plate, and they pass on it while they watch my Grand Ma search for cute cat photos on My Space (because she hasn't heard of Facebook yet).

    Are you fucking kidding me? I mean come on man. EPIC FAIL.

    Feel free to read my shit starting with this post. What a fucking joke.

    US Gov't, YOU SUCK!

    And another thing, China has a stealth fighter that looks identical to ours. Something that takes years to develop. Pops right off their assembly line when ours does. Where were they for that reach behind? Oh yeah, watching their daughters learn about waxing the shaft on youporn.

    ^^^^^^ This.

    And with all of this secret squirrel shit that is supposedly keeping us safe, a letter to Obama laced with Ricin is intercepted at the end of March.
    The wrong person is arrested.

    TWO MORE LETTERS to Bloomberg and his organization two months later, and the (hopefully) real perp is found..... AFTER SHE TELLS THE FEDS THAT HER HUSBAND DID IT!

    The only thing the Fed knew was that a bunch of letters processed at the same time as the laced letters came from her town... but they didn't have her.

    But if this invasion of privacy were actually working, how did it not pick up on her obtaining the Ricin in the first place, before the letters were even mailed?
    You can't exactly drive to Thrifty and buy a bottle of Ricin. There HAD to have been some kind of electronic trail on that, and I highly doubt that this actress has the knowledge to extract Ricin from ***** *******... especially without killing herself.

    Nothing Illegal? That doesn't matter. Appearance matters. They have barely educated nit wits reviewing what they see on line, some who are barely old enough to know what the 2nd Gulf War is and could not understand why that picture of you on the left appears to be someone dressed as an insurgent (only because they saw one on Modern Warfare, not from being In Country). Without a doubt some snot nosed analyst would say that picture is enough to wire tap you. Crazy.

    In her defense, they were getting divorced and she really wanted the hairless cat. It was a risky play, not what I would have done, but damn he must have pissed her off.

    Lock her up and throw away the key, no other man deserves that hag.

    Words mean things. All the media discussions are dealing in real time. Every politician out there is very explicitly stating that all calls are not being listened to. Obviously true.

    Who is asking the Pols whether the data is being stored for future use? Still waiting.

    You would be shocked at the level of intel the US Postal Inspection Service has developed since the first ricin attacks a dozen years ago.

    So why did it take 3 letters and over 2 months to even get a rough idea who did it?

    And the attacks in 2001 were Anthrax, not Ricin.
    Anthrax, antibiotics can clear. A lethal dose of Ricin can be delivered in a sphere the size of the one in the end of a ball-point pen and it's lights out (and the KGB did this).
    Her letters were a more crude form, dilute enough for those exposed to be treated.

    And this is where it gets scary. If you cross the wrong person in the government, out comes everything you have ever said and it gets pulled right out of context. A right wing internet user (or left so nobody gets offended) can suddenly be transformed into a home grown terrorist.

    I very much agree with you. The funny part is, that shemagh was purchased out of the AAFES exchange in a far away place.

    That is just it Stewart, in the press release from Verizon the NSA were demanding copies of text messages and voicemails, NOT just metadata.

    You are correct, it was Anthrax. Apologies, but it has been a long time since I dealt with this. At one point, there were "sniffers" installed at certain processing points to specifically search for this kind of stuff. Unfortunately, there were so many false positives that they weren't effective. Then the problem stopped.

    My point was that with a daily volume of over 500 million pieces of mail, they have the technology to track single mailpieces. At 6000 pieces processed per second, they have to work backwards (or have reason to "flag" mail that meets certain pre-established criteria). It's a BIG organization with a lot of entry points.

    Have you guys heard of "troll the NSA day"? Someone is organizing that everyone that can text and talk about terrorism on that day, to see if they are really spying on us or not, and to overload the system if they are. Seems interesting, and stupid all at the same time. I think it's today. Thoughts?

    What is really sad? The fact that people outright abuse our amendments. WBC anybody? I mean... There needs to be a line drawn in the sand at what you can put on your picket signs!
