Ok as long as the weights aren't on the outside lip I'm happy. I might pull the trigger on some in the next couple weeks. Thanks for the response!

If you use the sticky weights on the inside of the wheel, you may have to use more than what treadwright advertises them to balance with. They balanced just fine, but definitely had to use more than just a few ounces. I don't really care that much since they are stick on weights and you can't see them really.

You can't "road force" these tires. Treadwright sends the "how to" balancing info with the tires. Tires should be balanced using a "static" balancing method only.

I've been running them for about 8k miles now. They still run smooth, and have zero issues. I have the sticky weights on the inside of the rim as I have custom rims but preferably you would split the needed weight in half and place half inside the rim, and half on the outside lip. Make sure they are balanced "static".

Didn't get that. Just had my buddies shop balance them and he said he got it as close as he could and they still wobble a little bit

He probably used the "dynamic" method. If you were to take them back and get them done static, they'd be smooth as marbles rolling across glass.

Thanks for the responses guys. I can't figure out my issue with my current BFG's (might be out of round) and thinking of selling them and my wheels and using the Tundra/Sequoia wheels I got with Treadwrights. I just can't stand the weights on the outside.

As posted already, The TW tires NEED to be STATIC balanced. If the tire tech runs the machine in dynamic mode, they will not balance. I went though this exact thing with a shop. The tech did not listen to me, nor read the instructions I placed into his hand. They even talked me into Equal bags, which was a joke. In the end, it cost the shop because I went back and had them rebalance all 4 tires for free, STATICALLY. They run smooth as butter since it was done right with under 2 oz/tire.

I made the mistake of having WalMart mount and balance them. I showed them the paperwork from TW and they never got it right, ended up with outside tire wear and bad wheel bearings.....other than that the tires were very very good in mud and snow, never got stuck. And even rubbed the sidewalls on plenty of rocks and they never puntured.

Ok good to know. It's between some wardens and Hankook MT's. very different tires but I love the hankooks look and heard great things. I'm going to make some calls Monday but might go with the wardens since they are about $620 to me and the hankooks are around 800-900.

That was my deciding factor. I read good things about the company. Of course there are people who have had bad experiences, but that is any product. Under $700 shipped vs over $1000..... yeah

Same here. I don't go to moab, or do any serious wheeling. The wardens are priced right and exactly the tread design I'm looking for.

Honestly, after driving on them for several thousand miles, I would trust them any place I would take any other tire.

I have @ 45k on my Wardens. They are showing some cracking by the sidebiters but nothing I am worried about. I still have a good 3/8 tread easily on them too.

This is good to hear. I have about 12k on mine, and I'm hoping they last as long as BFG AT's do.
