driving fatigued is alot like driving drunk, there's a bit of research on it if your interested.. do what you can, but if you're tired just take a break. it's not worth your life, nor anyone else's just to save a few hours of time.

Man if you have 4 people why not switch more often?

The truck will be fine just check your fluids and tires at start and halfway through.

Kinda sounds like a trip from hell.

Even with 4 drivers taking turns, you are not going to sleep well, if at all, especially with 3 other guys in the cab, will probably have tunes going, etc...

You can safely drive for maybe 6-8 hours. Your body won't be ready "for bed" for another 4-6 hours under normal conditions.
Curled up in the cab of a Tacoma with 3 other guys?

I wouldn't do more than half of that trip before stopping for the night at a motel.

Damn dude that's a long drive. I did 19 hours straight, only stopping for fuel. It was not too bad but long. Only me in the truck.

Funny how we make better (and longer) time without the wife/GF insisting on potty or food stops every 2 hours.
Ran the bike from Downey Idaho to LA in one day.
Rough job getting from LA to Mt Carmel Junction in one day with her on the back.

4 dudes in a Tacoma, two of them trying to sleep in the back seat? I think not. Stop and sleep properly for a few hours. It's not just about YOU making it, it's about everyone else on the road making it, too.

Done my share of cross country trips. Kansas to Oregon & back or all over the west, only went east once. I would leave at night about 8~9 pm, nothing to see going across Kansas and hit Utah by about 5pm and camp at Dinosaur NP. Next day go on to Oregon. 2 days out & 3 days back, different route. I always stopped at places along the way. Jellystone, Badlands, etc. Stop and see the sites along the way. Whats the hurry if your on Vaca.
If you don't get out to stretch every couple hours you'll be stoved up by the time you get where your going.

You should never drive straight through. Stop for whiskey shots every 2 hours. :p

As stated before you should be fine with multiple people, but if you can't do it then switch.

Went from Paducah, KY to about 30 miles north of Denver straight through just fine. Wife drove to Wamsutter WY then I took over again to Reno NV.

If anything, it's just boring as hell. Bring a lot of music.

I wouldn't suggest it. I do a lot of travelling back to BC and majority of the time I am driving by myself. One time, I worked a 10 hour overnight shift and then drove 7 hours back to BC. I kept trying to keep myself awake. I am not one for stopping or taking breaks, I just wanted to get there. I actually fell asleep. If it wasn't for the rumble strip I would have driven into a lake. It's been almost a decade since I did that and now I always pull over and take a break. There has been the odd time that I'll stop and take a nap if I am tired. It's not worth it to risk your life or anyone else to just to get a bit closer to your destination. Take breaks, enjoy the drive.
