I specifically asked the techs at Toyota how they applied the RTV and I was told to do it exactly how I did. I waited 5 hours and felt around, RTV was dry and no leaks. I'll monitor it but I highly doubt it will leak, it's a pretty tough sealant. Almost feels like B1/2.

Almost looks like 870 b1/2. If it were you would have fun trying to get that thing off if needed in the future.

There are limits on fan blade blending and is an authorized repair. The limit is to what the aircrafts engine technical instructions authorize. I had an engine I was running ops checks on in the military shell a turbine wheel. Messed up the cowling and made nice boom and small fire but that was only one is 20 years in the military.

    No butthurt here.

Did you shear off one of the bolt heads? Bottom picture, top row of bolt holes on the right seems to still have a bolt in it without a head.

Thats called blade blending, it's actually a common practice for any jet/turboprop engine. There are dent/nick limits for the blades, as well as limits for how large of an area that can be blended. May seem freaky, but perfectly normal.
*edit* Noticed this was already pointed out....

It's still disconcerting as shit when the entire plane is vibrating from them "blending" the blade lol.

This is unlikely to happen as the material removed is undecernable to the seat of the pants. You have equipment which is hooked up to an engine if there is a vibration issue.

The actions of takeoff and landing "vibration" is normal.

I way over tightened my oil drain plug by accident. So far it doesn't look like it's leaking or anything.

So is it safe to say it's good until the next oil change?

Oh yeah, I'm checkin often. Don't think it will end up getting stuck the next time I try to pop her off do you? I'm contemplating just getting it off now, re-tighten, and refill with oil.
