My truck is camera shy right now cuz of the big gaps over the little tires ;). I'm supposed to meet up with the welder tonight to get me closer to mounting the new sneaks, THEN she'll be ready for her close up. I did send pics of the fornt end to Icon and Jeremy told me I oughtta back off a little on the preload--gave me an interesting test:

Measure from the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender with the truck sitting on the ground then jack it up so the tires leave the ground and perform same measurement. If you don't have an increase of at least >1 inch you over did the preload and do not have sufficient downtravel. Somone elses may have brought this up in another forum here, I know it sounded familiar when Jeremy mentioned it.
    EDIT: Alright alright, here:

And yea she's still got the Taco lean--gonna fix this when its on the weld shop lift...

Here are some crappy cell pictures I took on the day I brought it home last summer. This winter I added hand guards, a Leo Vince exhaust, and did some ECU tuning with TuneECU. Runs like it should now :woot:

Hoping to get some nice shots taken of the truck and bike sometime this summer.

Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders
Nicceee, lets see the bling behind the tire though!

I am hoping to be able to get around 2" with that test when i mount the icons (which showed up today) :bananadance: My plan is to keep the preload pretty low and do some more clearancing for the 285s. I am also going to change my UCAs to the +1* caster setting, hopefully when i get an alignment they will be able to get it up somewhere close to 3*. Which will move my tire foward in the wheel well, just a little bit. But thats all i need. I am a little worried about my LCA bushings though :/ last time i went in for alignment they said they were having problems getting it right. I assumed because of the UCAs. But when i got the print out the before and after numbers for caster where exactly the same, 2.7, 2.5. They were only able to change the camber a little bit. And toe was way off but they got the pretty good. I am starting to think, if i need to address the LCA bushings, seized or not, When i install the new shocks would be a good time to do it :frusty:

Damn... I love the looks of that bike! I'm trying to trade my bike for a dual sport or supermoto but have sort of given up at this point. I'm rocking a 2002 Katana 750 with some minor upgrades. Goes like hell but I want something a little different. Keep it shiney side up and enjoy the riding season!

Maybe hit the trails with NH Mike if he's up for it

You'll want to kill me, but I could have gotten that at cost plus 10%...

They mark up in house because they know they can get it. Like all the vehicles being serviced and customers walking in. Online the Demand is there but not as high still they are marked up. Even when I was at Tasca we has Tasca parts dot com, parts counter, Amazon and eBay. The two online market places almost has 10% above cost markup.

It's all good I found it on rock auto around $100 . Why don't you just return the shocks and get the right ones . Tell them they fucked up .

The restocking fee is like 25%. I would need them too send me new ones so I can still drive I dont think that would fly with them. I'll buy new ones in a week and sell these to Miguel, so he can have a 1/4 of his lift lol

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
Worth it to have a spare. Can always resale if not needed.

Hi everyone! Newbie here! I have a 08 Tacoma crew cab, I just took off my Nerf Bars and I want to sell them. Bars are the 3" round chrome and in good condition. Typical wear and tear for 5yrs. Brackets are intact. I don't have the bolts but nothing you can't get at a Home depot. Asking $100 for the set. I'm Just North of Boston...thanks

    GO BRUINS!!

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
John, I was super busy when I got back and then had a meeting. I will check it out tomorrow (sorry about the delay).

On a side note does anybody have the thinner 1/4" top spacers?
