    This is the most relevant place I could think to ask this.
    In the pic above, the washer deal that indexes the ball joint, mine on the passenger side isn't tight. It can move left/right very little, and up and down about the width if a razor blade. The nut on top was torqued and retorqued. The driver side doesn't move though. Does anyone elses have any wiggle room?

    Yeah I know I need the bumper and winch. As soon as I can save my pennies I'm going to spend it all on Billy's bumpers.
    I've heard mixed things about the carrier drop kit. What is really the purpose of it? From my understanding if your driveshaft vibrates you get it. But ive also heard if you do the dakars then you're less likely to have the issue. Does this sound about right?

    Yes and no on the vibes issue. If you install Dakars do the CB drop. It is intended to help keep the driveshaft straight and equal out the driveline angles. It does the job.

    It's cheap and easy. If you do encounter vibes with it installed it'll take 5 minutes to remove it. I installed mine right away and have been vibe free.

    The rectangle washer with the star cutout can move? I am assuming the balljoint plate with the SPC logo isnt moving at all, which would be the main concern. I don't have his issue, but it might not be a major concern :notsure:

    I don't know if I have a lot of confidence in that design if that little lip on the nut it supposed to lock that stud in place.

    The upper balljoint is in an oblong slot to allow for adjustment towards and away from the tire for camber

    There is a washer below the nut with the lip. So i dont think the lip on the nut locks the stud in place, i think it locks the washer in place. You can see the design here http://www.spcalignment.net/instructions/25470-INS_WEB.pdf

    I know, but wouldn't that nut be better served to have a little more depth to the lip on the nut? Really ensure it doesn't have any play forward or backward? Just thinking out loud.
