Thanks. Hadn't worked with epoxy before, so took a couple of times. I had too much on the first time and it didn't hold; even after 24 hours. Had a tough time finding 3 x 8/32 coupling nuts. Not bad other than that.

 

I'm nervous! Haha Ive been looking for a cheap 13' grill that someone want to get rid of so I can practice... Pm'd Someone but they never got back to me. Like the Toyota emblem too! Where did you pick that up?

 

Cutting the grille brought on an anxious moment or two. Just followed the instructions and it wasn't too bad. Got emblem off ebay.

 

Ya, I'm gonna play with the idea of removing the tray and trying to make a mount for it. Also maybe put it in the cup holder in front of the shifter. I really don't need 75 cup holders in my truck. The cubby in front of the cup holders I would like to save for a switch plate.

 

Shoulda spent a little more and got the Kenwood w/Nav. You realize that Kendwood uses Garmin for their nav piece, right? Easily the best navigation on a head unit on the market.

I was tired of spending big money on a head unit. My last one was a $500 alpine single din. Garmin is definitely the way to go with nav. Usually for the price of an map update you can almost get another GPS. Anymore I usually use my iPhone for nav if I really need it. Of course with the iPhone 5 none of the head units display on the screen so all you get is sound anyway. Oh well, I'm just happy to have something I can hear with the windows open and sounds good. Now I just need to order my speakers and amp.

 

Why get a map update? Nobody says you have to if you buy one that's current? Not really comparing apples to apples.

How much did you pay for that nav unit?

 

I was talking about in a few years. I paid $105 for the nuvi 205w with lifetime traffic.
