I've got the same issue with mine.... Can't decide if I wan't to keep them or not.

I could pull them off and just paint the center hub and I think it would look cleaner. I might try it next time I rotate.

Agreed! the caps on both of these trucks are huge! Its one of the reasons I went with the Pro Comp 7069 (much smaller cap & classic look)

Ive been contemplating removing my caps just to paint over the logo as well

Thanks Pugga! I have been wanting these wheels for years.. and when they came out in black I was definitely sold. :)

I've been looking for shallow caps or any center cap that will fit the bore size... with no luck. :(

Im looking to having a simple one made, if not.. ill just paint the hubs to match. Satin/matte black should do the trick.

I have an extra cap for my wheels if you want to try to see if they fit?

Honestly doubt it. They would need to match the bore size if they are a push through design.. otherwise, they would have to match the mounting pattern of the MT caps.

I've been looking high and low man. They dont even make center caps in 108mm bore size... anywhere. :(

    Yeah.. mine are 4.25 inches..

Checked. nobody has a low/short center cap. The only ones that come in large bore sizes are tall just like the MT ones..

I have been thinking of cutting them down.. but then either need to find. Something to fill thenow open hole.. which again.. would have to be around 108mm bore size.. maybe smaller and I could use something to fill the extra space.. or.. cut a ring out of the MT ones.. them attach them back.

I think cutting a ring out may be the way to go, the only thing is welding it back up cause that metal is super thin. Maybe give Brandon @ Avid a call and see what he thinks about cutting those down?

Im just gonna paint them for now. Get some satin black rustoleum. Tape the wheels off.. and paint. Hopefully it will make them disappear pretty well and look ok. If not, ill just make covers.

Gonna make a stencil that will leave just the hubs exposed and use that to paint the wheels. Then cover and tape of the rest of the wheel and tire. Ill do one side (2 wheels) at a time. Do a coat, Let one dry, paint the other, repeat.

Caps painted black or no caps. Don't like the MT logo on them or even the chrome rivits. Its your money and truck and I don't sleep with you. I like the rim choice and tires looking at enduros for mine.

    Finished my Center Caps!

decided to make some instead of painting them. gave me an excuse to go buy a new Dremel too :)

picked up some ABS plastic mudflaps from O'Reileys (thanks to JD for the idea)

traced my MT center caps onto the plastic, cut out with snips, then Dremeled out to the finished product. gave them a couple coats of VHT Satin black. not a perfect match to the wheels, but overall came out pretty good. pleased with how they look and are easily removable to get access to the hub and re apply paint, etc. if needed.
