All this for fun or your motor and trans shot?
I am a cheap bastard and sold my truck cause it needed cats, a windsheild and the AC had a leak. I couldn't imagine this kind of coin on something that ain't broke. My Two Cents.

Any of you guys able to help me with putting in top plate spacers if I end up getting them? I hear it's pretty easy because you don't have to mess with the spring, but still sketchy for me. I'm better with construction stuff rather than vehicles.

And I would need an alignment after, right?

jack your truck up, put it on jack stands, unbolt 3 smaller bolts on top plate and the bottom bolt of shocks and take the whole shock assembly off. put top plate spacer on and put the shock back on

Do the LCA's have enough play to leave them in place? I think I could do it, I just want to make sure it's right. I would also need an alignment, right?

i would get an alignment just to be sure, no the LCAs wont allow you to install them without removing the whole shock assembly

Oh no I meant, do they have enough play to leave the LCA themselves in place, which I guess they do.

Thanks for the info Super. Thinking about asking for the TPS's and the AP IFS Skid for my birthday in a couple weeks.

Welcome Nick! We usually have 1 or 2 dinner/ wings meets throughout the month.

Did you notice any sag with the 1.5 AAL with the H/C? I want Dakars in the future, but I don't know if I should just coincide the purchase with the Pelfreybilt H/C Swingout I want. Obviously, my bumper would be heavier with the swingout and spare, but I'm just curious.

That's what I was planning...oh well...might as well spend a shitload of money at once, rather than a lot at multiple times

Thanks...but I haven't ordered them yet  I'll post up when/if I get them for some emotional support from anyone who's free.

Put in the order for the Toytec Top Plate Spacer Kit and All-Pro 3/16'' IFS Skid for my birthday. It will hold me over until my Icon 2.5's and 700# King's in a few years. I am very happy I am getting a real skidplate though.

I'll post up when the spacers come in if I need some physical / emotional support...

Was driving down 95, and my breaks gave out! SO I got to an autoparts store parking lot and investigated. Cracked Steel Break line pipe! SO I had to get it done, in the middle of the parking lot while the rain was banging me in the head. Made for an interesting time.

Cost me $4 for the steel pipe and $4 for the break fluid. All better now. Just need to get some degreaser and clean really well.

that had to be scary man. those steel pipes look pretty stout, kinda surprising they would break. I wouldve thought the flex tubing from the pipes to the brakes themselves or the fittings would give out first.
