Thinking about this. Can you mount a bike with the rear wheel touching the bed (as opposed to sitting on top of the tailgate) on a SB with the tailgate closed?

I have several Rocky Mounts in my existing bed rail, and my bike is a larger frame, but it just fits inside my SB, about an inch to spare. I wonder how close to the bed rail this bike rack would be?

    enough to go over stuff
The cross bars arrived and here are some photos of the setup. Next week I am going camping and there will be 3 people and my husky in the cab. Plus 3 bikes, firewood and camping gear for 4 days in the sierras. Im hoping this rack helps me fit everything. KB VOODOO makes a good product.
