This is some sick machining man....very nice!

So just throwing this out there..I got my vinyl cutter and have been doing some design stuff. I traced out a pretty detailed outline of the island chain or even just Oahu if anyone is interested in that(to incorporate with other designs). Or any other stickers you guys might want if you have designs. I'm willing to work with you and get it done for a reasonable price. I'm only offering custom stuff to the Hawaii guys.

    let me know, shoots!

    Thanks! :D
but its really not that involved. I wish I could take pics of some of the projects I make at work. lots of intricate machining with very low tolerances. Some things have to be within 0.001"
And all on manual machines. No CNC or DRO.

I try to keep those pieces at +/- 0.005 per my own specs, but it doesn't even have to be that accurate to work.

I still got them. Lmk if you wanna check them out :)

    Brandon has 2nds.

And I have a little bit more: a small remote turn on for 12v @1a max. Can use a relay for higher draw. Has two remotes but so far I have only found one.

And two pairs of RAM Lites RC off road lights. They are the LED lights with aluminum reflectors. They run on 9v batteries but can also be run of a receiver pack or main pack.

Edit: I also have two KC 6" fog reflectors. They will work with the Slimlites and Dayliters. As far as I know, they will not work with the apollo's.

Again, everything is free as long as you come to Kaneohe and get it. I'm happy to meet at the mall, or you can always swing by my house. (its closer to the H3, LikeLike than the mall by a good mile) :)

Can I get an answer as to why the super wide wheel or extreme backspacing is so popular in HI? Im just curious about it. Does it trash your ball joints?

I have family on Oahu and I saw tons of trucks sportin this style when I was visiting them and was curious about it.

    Oh boy...
if the truck is from another island chances are thats why. each island is known for its different style.

Big Island - Super wide tires 14" wide is considered smallest width that people even recognise

Kauai - Tall lift / small tire combo like 8" min lift with stock tires but have the 35's set at home because sometimes we like to have fun haha (because we poor and cant afford expensive ass gas with our other set).... edit: or are sick and tired of KPD (fuck those guys) for giving us mad tickets..... early warning - if u drive a lifted truck THEY PUT A MARK ON UR ASS ur gunna be paying for everything the county does through all your tickets. no recon but cops still hate

Maui - tall lifts / big tires / wide tires. they JDGAF they run the large tires and lift and pay the money for gas. Seems like people from maui are rich kuz most (most not everyone) has the total set-up complete -----props for maui

Oahu - brobrobrobrobrobrobrobrobrobrobro all pre-cummers with lifts ususally body lifts and get stuck if they ever tried.... i only give props to the ones that try...............
only here have i ever seen someone run a 6" body lift.....fugly and stupid

thank you for your time - please anyone feel free to correct me where corrections are needed

    Oh boy...
you know i just really wish there was an 8" bolt on suspesion lift... im trying so hard to go without a body... my only limitation right now is my spindle is too small... i need another 2 inches height on my upper control arm mount to my spindle. but no one makes a 6 or 8 inch spindle, to my knowledge. then my lift would be complete in the front....

i just love the look of an 8 inch lift. my dad had an old school tahoe with a 9 inch lift and that ting was sweet but his was 6 inch suspension 3 inch body but could never tell with the tahoe kuz of the way the frame sits the truck. not like the tacoma. the body sits right on top the frame so any body lift makes it look donkied

could always try and add 2 more inches to your spindles, chop and weld a block in...but that might not be the best way to do it

    this and that...
just a quick sneak peek of my everyday setup. taking off the 16x8 welds and reusing the 285s i had mounted cause only had couple hundred miles on them. 20x12 welds with 305/55/20 is gonna be my "dress shoes": oily, i know ;). 3inch body to follow in a week or two.

EDIT: done mounting. good thing thing i didnt get the 16x12 mickeys cause the stretch woulda been MEAN.

    setup looks mean bra ^^^

yeah i thought about that but i really am curious as to what damage that could cause... or if im potentially causing more damage with my current setup... i feel like a spacer might be perfect for the job i just dont want to break a spindle. max i would need would probably be an inch to compensate for my inch spacer then i bet my ride would be perrrrfect... id probably need a larger bolt for the spindle UCA mount.

any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

That might work, but you would have to make a block for the drop bracket to keep the suspension angles in line. Otherwise you are going to have a lot of issues with binding down the road. Not to mention tire wear :)

getting LT LCA's and making a cylinder-esqe spacer to bolt in between the spindle and UCA could be an option too...though you'd probably have to gusset the spindle as a precaution.

LT LCA's would be wider, right? so wouldn't that mean LT UCA's too? And if you leave the DB where it is, you will still have angle issues as the suspension compresses; the wheels are going to be off camber and want to tuck in pretty severe under compression.

But if you just put in an LT kit, then you will inherently get more lift from the increased width.. I'm all for LT :D
