Don't mind the idiot scratch, that was the previous owners doing. This is my first 1911, can't wait to take her out.

The following are what I like to call "The reason I'm on a Budget Tacoma build":

Frankenstein gun - Frame/barrel of a Sig P226 Combat with the slide/extended-grips/mags of a Sig P225 Blackwater Tactical:

    DSCN0976_3ee5cf15eb72a5575255ecd52e59ca817b21625d.jpg

    DSCN0973_bcdc2c1ceb888caf1ff31f65c2110decccfc91eb.jpg

Leftovers from that build with some cool Digi-cam grips:

    DSCN0971_6e71bbae1ecf713f767c7998cf240c952d6f61fe.jpg

Sig P228R (German frame) in an Ugly Bald Guy holster:

    DSCN0925-1_29d3c5a300d5ae9a2f6719a2bf1c630dd2557060.jpg

Sig P239SAS next to a Kahr K9 with quite a bit of custom metal work done (Kahr had checkered front-strap, de-burred lines all over it, re-crowned, action-job with polished trigger contact points):

    DSCN0891_e6098544ee9e333af0368760e0ee3578a48ed3c4.jpg

Here's a Beretta M9 build-up - all GI M9 parts except for the frame, and the frame is an older commercial M9 frame with none of the warnings and crap all over it (GI slide and chrome-lined barrel as well as a threaded barrel, GI hammer/trigger/mags/etc... it took a long time to get it all together by a friend and I always wanted it so when he wanted to sell, I snapped it up). It's got the non-GI threaded barrel and some aluma-grips on it here:

    DSCN9531_f15661ecfbb27468814c70a418cdc34a8f86be48.jpg

    Here's my oldest son's Remington 700 build:

    My Remington 700 Build:

    DSCN02291_3526330dddb2fd2421693135a0b9cc7658ab61e5.jpg

My AR (Noveske build) on top, my youngest son's Spikes Tactical build on bottom:

    DSCN6933_2308ae5ecef04da892028b97c12443454dd85f8b.jpg

Noveske on top in a different config and a factory Sabre Defense (with the Thundercat logo) on bottom:

    2010-10-22153118_65aa6e95ced56028c6bba6337df3eca952338ff6.jpg

Other projects (My dad snagged that one on top):

    DSCN9519_789e6462e176b194c38b33d6d4b05614672e0e9e.jpg

HK Custom Combat in .40 S&W:

    Springfield EMP (9mm):

    IMG_3048_55a867880c3816a84daf1cff1a0c4480d8938f72.jpg

10/22 Project I spent way too much money on and ended up selling most of that crap to put it in a Hogue over-molded stock with a Clarke barrel:

    IMG_4250_96d71a7611c681add8815ce4b1cf2243b63e673c.jpg

Smithys (when I convinced myself "Yeah, .38spl is nice, but I really need to carry .357 magnum in a 13oz gun"... there are exactly 5rds missing from my full box of .357 - I never shot any through that gun again):

    IMG_4269_a8dfe52455c2bf4f8022f176aea079c8a841e95c.jpg

Here's a Sig P6 that I had quite a bit of work done and then sold it (it's wearing some Marschal Grips along side the CZ P-01 that is also wearing some Marschals):

    IMG_5812_f2016c32500fa904436a92672e0d783b1aa67c2b.jpg

Now if we get into knives... that's where I spend my real money...

You could just hit yourself in the hand with a tac-hammer and it would be cheaper man... :)

I ran it with .38spl for a bit before I figured out that it was stupid to do that (I never used the laser) so I sold it and picked up another 642 (one with no-lock).

I think I've still got a box of .357 and no gun that will shoot it - I may have to dig that out and give it to my pops - I think he's still got a model 65.

Is that an SKS in a bull-pup stock? How do those shoot? I've never seen one in person - it looks pretty cool man.

It is very easy to control and has very little recoil. The weight centered on the grip really well and is very easy to move around with. I just put the sight on last week and didnt get a chance to zero it in because we destroyed the target stands with the AK and AR, but it is definitely my favorite rifle. I just need to get some rails on the front and a vertical foregrip because there isnt really a place to put your other hand other than around the front of the trigger guard.

First one was a SA National Match M1A wearing a Troy M14 Battlerail and Nikon BDC scope.

Second in my Sako 85 Greywolf in 7MM Rem. Magnum with Swarovski Custom BT Turret Scope.

Third is my LWRC M6A3 DMR in ODG wearing Leupold's VXR Patrol SPR optic.

    That's enough for now.

Nope, that's what the GunWerks systems go for. With Scope the standard rifle in $9,000. Options take it up from there.

Like I said, I think you're buddy overpaid. Just because someone is selling something for a certain price doesn't mean it's worth it. I've built several long range precision rifles for plinking as well as competition and I can build or have built a rifle of that quality for much less. No way would I pay $10k on that rig is all I'm saying. Not even close.

Try shielding an unconscious patient with your body from the rotor wash of a helo doing a cable lift in the middle of a sand wash. That is some dirt in places you didn't know existed. :p

With optics, I'd pay $10K for a few guns out there - if someone is willing to pay for it, then it's worth the price :)

An AI/AQ or AX with some S&B or US Optics on it would be worth that. I'd pay that for a Cheytac with the right optics/options.

I can even see paying that for a Surgeon / GAP with the right optics/stock/goodies.

Hell if I win the lottery, $10k guns all around :D
