What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

That's nice but to perform as an actual headache rack it would be better to have the top bar at or slightly above the cab , no ?

NICE! I loaded it up one time before, but didnt haul it a long distance. I can't remember if its close to the glass or not.

He said he's mainly after protecting the glass, which LittleDevil's does.

I know that most real headache racks go at least to the top of the cab, but they also function as a rack to go over the cab. (Yours is like that, right?)

It's so you can haul longer material / ladders over the cab and tailgate

Mine is like that yes , but doesn't have the grate style protection for the glass , which is nice , mine just has vertical tubing

 

Ah, so you mean loading material diagonally using the tailgate as a stop? Makes sense, I just never really thought it through. I always envisioned using something like those Thule racks in conjunction.

Use a trailer wheel chock....stand it so your front wheel of the quad hits it so you do not smash the window...that is what I use.

 

or get some 2 x 4s chopped up at Lowes and use as a buffer.

 

Ive never put a toy in the back of my Toy... Hmm makes me want to go buy an ATV or Dirtbike haha

 

I came close a couple times... I slid off a ledge and it almost landed on my backseat!

 

I think tomorrow i will see about possible getting my Hood, Tailgate and Roof painted Gloss black of course... Maybe flat or matte if i can get a good look at it. Will match up nicely when i get armor bumpers and sliders

 

I just put the ROADMASTER ACTIVE SUSPENSION on my 2007 Tacoma, and WOW!!!! What a difference. incredibly better control with & without towing my Trailer, and it's virtually eliminated all "bottoming out" on the bumps. Just once, while pulling the trailer and we hit a pretty serious dip in the road.

Got mine on Ebay.com for $389 plus free shipping and no tax. Piece of cake to install.

Changed csb, u joints and then found both front wheel bearings are the noise culprits. Damn

 

Oil change again!! Oh damn, I lost my nipple cover

Added another 1/2 bottle friction modifier to the rear diff. It's been grumbling slightly the last week or so.

 

Sold her last night.....well took a deposit until I get the title in the mail from Toyota!

 

Wheels & tires picked up today, level kit on the FedEx truck out for delivery. ... happy happy Friday!

 

Hopefully that person takes good care of it!
