What UCA/Coilover's does everyone recommend? On somewhat of a budget. probably 1,500-2,000 Max for both front/rear suspension. Looking for a capable 3" solid lift that can hold its own over time/miles. Ride quality is important, but it doesn't have to be superb. The top of the line icons aren't really in budget. Most likely I will be getting a new leaf pack, looking at Dakar. any other opinions?

I will be putting a lot of miles on the truck in the next year, then it'll sit while I'm at training/ranger school.

I will be taking the truck in early October on its first 'expedition' Taking time off before I leave for Ft. Benning to go out to Oregon, Idaho, yellowstone, black hills, etc. It's not going to be strenuous, as I have a PreRunner, but I'm looking at building a pretty good platform that'll let me take on fire roads. I'm also building a bed rack and roof rack for a RTT and to move my cargo basket from the bed, to the cab roof.

I'm leaving for Ft. Benning mid-late February and will be going thru Yosemite, grand canyon, monument valley, and the southern states.

I'm a Total Chaos fan. Light Racing and others manufacture similar products. Shocks. For the price, you are probably looking at Icon.

It's what's in his price range-but for another G, you could easily be in Kings all around and TC's ($3grand).

That's what I was referring too. It's about $3gs and you're done. Micah at DSM can give a more accurate pricing and recommendation.

Yeah we're on the same page for sure.
As I recall you were well informed on your recent purchase.

I just like to say "Fuck Icon" because i despise their business practices, past and current management (much more on the past), and they cater to morons.

Yes, I was. And their service does not suck. I can highly recommend Down South Motorsports.

I like Old Man Emu with Dakar rear leafs. My Taco has that and my Landcruiser does too. My FJ55 has been running it for years, good stiff suspension.

    ^^^This.
My mom did OME all around, dakar leafs, and Total Chaos UCAs on her 2nd gen and she loves it. I did the same plus ball joint spacers on my 1992 pickup and I love it as well. There is a ton of info on various threads regarding the OME lift.
