I have mine in a clip-on IWB holster attached to the partition on my Salex console organizer.

That is a 12' or 13' how the hell is there so much dirt in there??? Did you drive it into the lake and then pull it out or something? Wow! How could you do that to a brand new truck.

    Poor taco

Trucks are made to get dirty. Tacoma liking it.
Yes, in the center console. Caliber big enough to shot through my windshield and through their windshield and into their body.

    FMJ or HP?
    What distance?

Are you implying 9mm is insufficient? Mind you, 9mm is leaving the muzzle about 200-300 fps faster than a .45ACP so in the case youre talking about, .45ACP probably wouldve not penetrate either at the same distance/conditions.

Is this your CCW or your truck gun?

What 'Im asking is do you unholster off your body and put it in this when you get in the truck or do you leave the pistol in the truck all the time?

When I'm in the truck - it's ON me.

In situations where I can't carry...... I keep the gun in a Console Vault. When I get home, I remove it from the vault and take it inside the house.

I've often thought about leaving it in the truck full time - but ....just something 'unsafe' about that (truck gets stolen, etc).

Absolutely not. The meth fiends in Central PA have a natural radar for firearms kept in vehicles. They will certianly get it if you start doing that. Firearms should either be on your body or secured behind closed doors.

I carry a 44 mag so I don't have to worry about barriers. Plus the hole size is huge looking down the barrel(unloaded of course)would make anyone shit themselves, Yeah I only have 6 rounds but I only need one to hit. Just think what a 44 mag would do if you hit them in the shoulder they wouldn't have an arm anymore. :fenforcer:

When I carry I usually take it out of the holster and stick it in the wet okole pocket inbetween my legs so I can actually put my seatbelt on

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
Kahr FTW. I don't leave firearms in my vehicles. I carry CM9 SOB with above holster and CW40 IWB 3 o'clock. Have to adjust slightly for seat belt buckle but not too bad. I considered under the steer column like someone posted above but if I get yanked out of the vehicle or just ditch it and run I just gave up my weapon.

    Carry is carry.

HP's made to break up and stay in your target and not go through. I don't want to shoot up my ride. I'll shoot back if I have too but first plan is to GTFO of there.
