Back near post 132 I gave up on bringing my build thread to date and just started with the SAS updates. I get alot of questions about stuffing 37's with IFS so I will add an update from when I tubbed the fenderwells.

The beginnings of fitting the drivers side...

Removing everything from the wheel well:

So far it looks like battery is going to be relocated out back, and I may luck out at the firewall. If not the kick panel electronics will be relocated as well to allow firewall tubbing. It would be way worse, but the AP Long travel pushed the spindles forward 1". Only time will tell.

Almost done with surgery on the drivers side:

Drivers side complete. New wheel well welded in and seam-sealed. Slight set-back when welding on the outside of the firewall I had a small fire under the dash  Luckily I had a fie extinguisher handy and nothing major burned up, some carpet, sound deadening and a few relays. Really just a big mess from the fire ext. :(

Finished up the passenger side, need to remount all the peripherals that were mounted to the wheelwell (abs pump, washer reservoir, PS reservoir, etc).

Didn't feel like grinding last night so I starting cutting the plates for the frame reinforcement and steering box mounts.

Got a little more done this weekend...it seems free time is getting harder and harder to find lately.

Finished plating the drivers side with 1/8" all the way back to the cab mount:
    20130630_115035_zpsec2413db_6e00a304b900184089bbdb50137b170e4c9b55f8.jpg

    20130630_115030_zpsb8325f1c_e7305124ccd013d9719d2c85e14524bdc8b14017.jpg

I wanted to get the box (and axle) as far forward as possible. In order to accomplish this I had to get the box spaced away from the frame a bit to clear a radiator mount on the inside of the rail. Sqeezed another inch out of it. Out the radiator came (gave it a good cleaning post pic):

    20130629_111522_zps452a56ab_194e800adfe7f8489944b75ee39e12650770027e.jpg

To help clear I plated the front again with some 1/4":

    20130630_111518_zps92d7972a_6f0b9d2964db789f527cb92d14af2e8e544e2aa4.jpg

Installing the last (top) frame tube:

    20130630_111524_zpse5c3eccd_693f0401afb3254715c81c3e4b81afcde5cdad1a.jpg

Plated the inside of the framerail for the back two sleeves only (couldn't afford the increased width and still clear the radiator):

    20130630_114615_zps656bdc91_a78afe495c608f4988f9c724915a0480e561b8c6.jpg

    Plating out the top frame/sleeve:

    20130630_115003_zps4dd66df1_c0b4e7ce451f05050d05f8489ae3839661084569.jpg

Welded up the crack in the motor mount while I was under there...3 passes on it so I think its good :D

    20130630_114632_zps2c696810_a4163fdf5ccddf411e93cd2b7eb58a1480ca8e0c.jpg

And the box is mounted with another 1/2" plate spacer behind the box. All in all the box has over 1" of steel behind it on the drivers side:

I like how all the real builds have very few comments about anything, just the occasional people that actually know what real builds are.

But when you see a truck derp their wheels it gets 45k comments haha [IMG]
