I wish trades like that were possible! lol. I'd do it. I mainly just don't like cooking. I hardly have time for it. I work over 10 hours a day, followed by 1 hour drive to the gym (live in the middle of fucking nowhere) and by the time I get home 7-8ish I am so tired I just wanna sit on the couch haha. And I usually go to sleep around 9.

yeah when i don't have time to cook, i just go to chipotle for a burrito to get most of my fats and carbs, then i come home to eat my nasty baked chicken made in a foreman grill to hit my protein. and if still not enough to hit my macro i make a protein shake. as long as you kinda hit it it's all good. plus minus 10-20 calories won't hurt ya

You talk about getting as strong as possible, then the very next comment is about getting big. Two different worlds.
Yes, I know that a lot of power lifters/oly lifters/strong men are big dudes, but that's not because they sit around the gym for two hours do leg extensions, bicep curls, etc.... They lift HEAVY, cut out the nonsense exercises that don't matter, then eat massive amounts of calories.
Tom Platz is a professional bodybuilder who took massive amounts of "supps" that allowed him to stay in the gym for hours doing squats. Not recommended. Bringing up a pro-bodybuilder's workout in a conversation between normal people that aren't sucking down supps is pointless. Those guys can do what they do and get the results they get Only bc of what they take.

If you truly want to get strong as possible, you follow a strength program, eat tons, and rest. Bottom line. You don't do a bunch of isometric lifts, cables, dumbbells, machines, etc... You get a rack, a bar, plates, and lift a handful of different ways.

This whole lifting until you can't lift anymore is not smart either. Same as the people who do ass-kicking 20min metcons 6 times a week. Your natural body isn't capable of doing that day in, day out. Sure that big dude on youtube says to lift until you can't anymore, but I doubt he's going home and only taking a scoop of muscle milk. You start beating down your body enough you're going to have problems. Metabolically and physically. Every now and then, it's fun to beat yourself down to see what you're made of, but you're delusional if you think your body is going to be recovered enough (just by taking some gnc garbage and eating a big dinner) to do it again the next day.

I do power week and hypertrophy week i don't stick to one style.

i was talking about his work ethics, i know he was on gear but then so was everybody in the olympics, what "supps" people take does not matter to me you can get the best gear in the world if you don't put in the work you are still gonna be a bitch.

90% of my training is free weights and heavy compound, i train mixed style and i eat just enough.

i have a loading split as well, Heavy -> semi heavy -> ultra heavy -> deload, and trust me the stuff im taking is light years better than gnc garbage and muscle milk.

Just got back from a month long trip and about 5 days ago I ate some bad chicken and was puking/diarrhea for an entire day. Couldn't hold any food or liquids down the entire day. Needless to say I lost more weight (sadly) than I had counted on losing.

I had lost about 4-5 pounds through out the month and seemed to have lost the last 5 lbs in the day that I was sick. We also walked about 6 miles on the day I was sick so that really didn't help. haha But there was no way I was not going on that trip!

All my clothes fit lose. These 10 lbs make a huge difference. From 165 back down to 155 lbs in a month. :gah: It took me 6 months to gain that, but I'm sure most of it is just due to dehydration.

We'll see how long it takes to recover.

Anybody ever have this happen to them?

I've had food poisoning before and it's no fun. Any loss from food poisoning is usually re-gained as you get better since most of what you're experiencing is a loss of 'water weight'. Which is why, even though you feel like you can't; you should try and drink water and eat something like Saltine crackers.

oh man sorry to hear that. just had to send a buddy of mine to the hospital after he got the flu and food poisoning. double whammy almost killed him. i kept feeding him gatorade and easy to digest food, he end up losing 2lbs that week and gained it back after 2 days of good diet and gym, hopefully you can recover just as good

I just wanted talk about a supplement real quick, Citrulline Malate. if y'all remember i get DOMS like no body's business, no matter how much i workout when i increase weight or switch up routine DOMS and crazy cramp are sure to come after. recently bought this item called Citrulline Malate, to combat lactic acid build up. and my god it is a god send. all my soreness are almost none existent, even after the hardest day of deads and squats. i bought the item with a lotta skepticism, but now im a die hard fan. if you ever have problem being super sore after a workout try taking it preworkout you'll be surprised.
