Hopefully, he just likes to get away every once and a while and a couple miles out of town is all it takes to be gone but close to home/work. When I worked on call, that's kinda how I got away yet could still be on call ;)

sweet.. what model? I barely use my home oven so no need for me, but I did look at them for a good long time. Tons of good Youtube videos about Camp Chef done by some good ol boys cooking some massively tasty feasts.

It's bare bones and thats what I like about them. You can start off cheap and build it as you want. Got my Yukon from Walmart for $149 shipped online and it came with a free carry bag. Great deal. I added some igniters and some of the red shelves then grabbed a griddle and the old model grill box. I waited for sales and free shipping so I could spend as little as possible. Between Backcountry, Camp Chef, and Walmart I have a complete set up now for much less than a fully optioned top of the line model with none of the stuff I don't need.

Why not just a camper? Ive camped by myself. That's when I seem to make the best food....out of boredom :D

Depends. I like the ease and simplicity of the JB. For backpacking or for colder weather, I prefer the MSR.

Gosh, I was so proud of my new camp kitchen (was gonna surprise the boys at the next TW meet, and just look at how happy that couple is on the box!) but now I think I need a "camp palace" like NYCO's to go with it.

Right. But the reason is because of the physical properties of the fuel source not, the devices themselves. For example, using an adapter one can run the Jetboil on pure propane, which allows for operation at much colder temps ( like -47C) For this reason, I bought a Kovea LPG adapter-works great!

I don't want an adapter when I'm out and it IS -30 out. I want a stove that just works. Having the option to run any fuel is a great selling feature for the ultra prepared hiker. That thing will run on diesel haha. Don't get me wrong, I love my jetboil, but it goes in storage when its winter.

if you're going to be out in the winter (below freezing temps) the Whisperlite is the way to go. Since you pressurize the fuel bottle you can keep it burning in cold temps even as the fuel burns down. Can't do that with canisters.

ya thats what i a park ranger told me when i was scouting out some spots. u can drink it in ur tent / v/ camper but not in public and cant have cans or cases in the open. but also heard it depends on the ranger and how rowdy you get.
