Tonight (06-14-2013) ... NBC National Evening News .... did a good story on "USCG Rescue Swimmers" and their duties & training.

You can probably find the news clip on it on NBC's website.

Kudos to you guys and the crews that make the rescue missions possible ... :D

I saw the program also. It's a job I wouldn't want to do. Glad you guys are getting some more of the spotlight.

I was doing that when I was ten years old.

Just kidding. Those guys are beyond hardcore. I already knew that movie with kutcher did it no justice at all. I would love to be a rescue swimmer but could never make it through that school.

I liked that movie. Unrealistic and cheesy, but good.
My old roommate is a rescue swimmer and always give him crap about it.
That course is no joke though. I think in the movie the graduating class had over 15 people in it. Guess how many people were in my roommate's graduating class......

One!!! It was him. Pretty funny ceremony.
