I just have the usual complaints that everyone has already aired. Biggest right now is the leafs. I had the 4 leaf pack on my 09 TRD OR and it was fine because of the rake. On the Baja with no rake I need some help. I am going to bug the crap out Toyota until they tell me to jump off a cliff or help me. So far they have just responded with the pat answers. I ramped up my complaint today. Told them I expected more than the pat answer.

Love it! We bought my Wife's back in 2009, after having it around a while I really grew to love it so last December I sold my F-250 Diesel and bought a brand new 2013 DCLB, I feel like a kid again when it comes to driving, all my other vehicles are jealous and neglected.

Bought a 2013 prerunner. One of the speakers rattled so bad I could hardly listen to the stereo. Had a horrible wind noise around the passenger door. Pulled it out of the garage to find a leak of some sorts. We had a blizzard here in Texas about 6 months ago. Son called me...stuck in a drift...I went to get him and got stuck myself. Had a Ford 4x4 pull me out. Went to the dealership the next day and ordered a 4x4. Drove the truck for 5 1/2 months and they gave me $676 less than what I paid for it. Just went 4 wheeling in my new 4x4 with no leaks or wind noise and the stereo sounds great! I'm a happy camper :)

This is my 3rd Tacoma. Had a 1997, 2009 & now 2012. Traded the 2009 for the 2012 because I wanted the auto tranny that wasn't offered on the 4WD 2.7 liter until 2010. Love the bucket seats that come with the auto instead of the bench seat on the manual tranny. I can't believe that intermittent wipers are still not standard on all Tacomas, though. It seems so basic. Its hard to believe it isn't standard on any vehicle.

95.5 Taco SX I swore up and down I'd be buried in it. Added a family, now a 2011 DCLB I swear I'll be buried in.

They are OK, it is a small truck.

Would like more power, more load carry in the bed and also better springs, better tires for towing.

Exactly why I just traded in my 06 Tundra DC for the 2010 Tacoma DC. The Tundra had a lot of room, but it also was a lot of truck. I grew tired of trying to maneuver that boat in tight places. My only complaint, and it is a small one, is that the V6 is pretty loud compared to the Tundra's V8.

Tundra is a little too big for dd in the city, except the 1st gen. Tacoma is perfect size for manuverability and functional for what I need it for. Its not perfect, but no vehicle is.

    I've been thinking about it
Problem is, the 5.7 is still pricy and I won't buy a 4.7. I also know I'll regret the 4.6.

But I also don't want the economy of the 5.7.

I also wish they had the captians chairs with the flip center console that can be a jump start like the Silverado.

Why are you against the 4.7 and regret the 4.6? Both of those engines are bullet proof.

    The 4.7 is ancient.

    It's 276hp to the 4.6's 310hp, and it's mated to a 5spd trans instead of a 6spd.

So not only is it an older design making LESS horsepower, it also gets 2-3mpg LESS fuel economy.

I'm actually half heartily hoping to get a '13 5.7 for 10k off once the new trucks hit the floor...

But then the interior really is dated... but I hate the new styling. Meh

I liked my tacoma a lot, except for wind noise, "the dreaded whistle" and ok'ish fuel economy. Honestly, the best deal out there now, and way better customer service is the gmc sierra, got my 2013 z71 crew cab with hd towing and cooling package leather, seat lock box, locking tailgate, locking dash, 5.3 and locking rear diff for 32500 out the door due to the new body styles coming in. Did get 31000 on my 2012 double cab trd sport 4x4(with 8000 miles) which was awesome. that 1500 cash was a no brainer to give up. My fuelly account shows 19.3 around 70-75 highway and 15.1 around town on the sierra which isnt far from the tacoma. Couple that with 9000lbs+ towing capacity caused me to abandon toyota till they get there act together and start building like they used to. Everyone that I have ever seen pulls 250,000+ miles, but some of the newer yotas are just sub par toyota. Not hating on them, but its time to step their game up. I'm sure there will be 200 replies hating in this post , but its a good point nonetheless.

No hate. Just disagree. Wife pickes up a raptor last year same time she got the new camaro z something. Thing is huge and pain for her to try to park in all the tiny compact parkings at her work. The new Tacoma she got, is perfect. Dont know her mpg but now she doesnt fill as much. Ditto for her 2012 Sierra.

My wife recently traded in an older cts for an ISF. so she has a nicer car for work, and also if she does pick up the kids. We havent been let down by Toyotas quality. Unlike with GM. Other personal things going on, we got my sport for example for $21. Couple that with the trade in of a 5.3L colorado. All I had were problems with that thing. Same for the SS silverado. Which we sold and are on waiting list to pick up a new corvette in Aug. Wife had a colorado extreme she traded in for her tacoma. That too had nothing but problems. We never had issues with Fords trucks. Or Dodge.

So far toyotas been the only company that every vehicle not just trucks, have such high quality.

We saw a guy locally at a coffee and cars, white frs with an lsx v8 swapped in. Widebody, stripped interior with a rollcage. Wife thinks that is so cool. Its body is so wide, the wheels looked like they were wide enough for a Dodge Viper. And he had rwb stickers on his car, instead of he scion emblems, he had what I was guessing were custom air force logos front and rear? His wife had a nicely built new still plateless 2013 Tacoma with weird pattern stickers towards the rear of the bed? The two vehicles were very nice! They were the onea who referred me here to join. I am assuming they are members?

I like GM still and their trucks look mean. But they lost me at 3 colorados. 2 ss silverados. A 3500 dually. A canyon. And a sierra that all just were crappy quality.

I like most things about it but there are some things I hate. Hate the location of the rear view mirror and all the alphabet safety devices. Other than that, 21-22 MPG, good off road capability, will probably last longer than any other truck out so yep, I like my truck.

    Not really....
When you tow a 350 honda ATV on a single axle trailer with hunting gear and ask the dealer for help with it hitting the bump stops all the time and the fact if you tow you can not really carry much of anything in the bed......
Then the dealer looks at you and tells you the truck is over loaded with the trailer and a TW around 300 lb, yet it is rated at 600 lb and tow weight of 6000 lb.....

I call that a crap design.
Had a friend with an older Taco and think it was a early mid 90's Toy and they held the load fine and better towing.......

Not really a Tundra but a different brand.

I will never buy a full size truck that is a 4 door full size like the tundra that you can only get a 5.5' bed......

    THe Taco has a 6.....
