Thanks for the info, I'm tempted to go with the black because it has the remote included ($80 by itself if I get the silver) and then it's $20 for the upgraded camera

 

I have the Hero 3 silver and can use my cell phone as remote thru wi-fi. I think i can do it also with the hero 2 with the wifi backpack yet to try it. Get the motorsport for all the mount clips IMO

 

hmmm, decisions, i didn't see the motorsport edition for the hero3 i saw the surf edition though.
also, battery life, from my reading it's 1 1/2 -2 hours without pro tune, if i add the optional battery pack will the unit stay waterproof?
when i'm out riding around i'll be riding for 4-5 hours and would like to record most of it, i can wire up a 12v on my quad and recharge it though when i'm out riding.

 

If you want to film for 4-5 hours make sure you bring a few memory cards

 

yeah, i'm planning on getting 4 64gb micro SD cards, gopro says class 4 but wouldn't class 10 be better? (sorry, i know squat about these things)
sandisc makes a 64 gb MicroSD class 10 for ~$60.

 

And alot of batteries and somewhere to charge them. Most backpacks have their case to seal them to the camara.

 

So, ew, not a fan of this LEO test up in CC County. They say they accept t-scores, but if you don't have one...you get to take their specialized test...alot of situational questions on it, we'll see how I did...

For the quad riding I can set up a 12v plug, and charge one of the 2 battery packs while I ride.
Or I could do a solar backpack.
What type of backpack are you talking about? Link?

Does anyone who has/had 7" HID offroad lights (the red ring style) have any night pictures of them? I was planning on running 5 of them on my light rack that's placed behind the cab but I came accross a 40" Spot LED bar on DR for a good price and am contemplating running that instead becusse itll be around $100 cheaper than the HID's. I know the HID's will be brighter but I've never actually seen how much light they put out.
