    Your truck will be fine.
Before/during/after- change/check your oil, coolant, & other fluids. Check brakes, tires & pressure ( dont forget spare). Bring some tools, xtra fluids. Think about what u need for the truck in an emergecy. Good luck & have a great trip.

Prolonged sitting increase blood pooling, especially in lower extremities increasing risk of blod clots. Blod clots are bad enough if they remain in your leg. If they break free. or parts of them break free, you are risking stroke, pulmonary embolus, heart attack and potentially death.

That is the worst case scenario. Clearly people do it. Age, overall health play a factor.

If you do it you should be stopping stretching and walking a bit every few hours.

i drove from san antonio to ft gordon georgia (about 18 hours if you drive straight with no breaks) and the tacoma runs like a champ. no heating problems, no mechanical issues, hell the tire pressure barely went down. you'll have no problems with the truck. like everyone said, it'll be you and your body that'll be the variable. definitely follow what tacomacon recommended. i could barely handle driving 9 hours without breaks every hour or two and had to get a hotel for the night before finishing the last 9 hours. good luck on the trip!

AAA card and a cellphone is all that I "need".

But I carry significantly more, and can do most of my maintenance tasks without opening my garage for much more than the oil drain pan.

I would take advantage of Rest Areas and Overnight parking spots. If its a money issue, buy some cheap tents. You will need to give your truck some breaks in between driving, gas up, check oil and fluid levels and air filter, check tires etc.

4 guys in a small cabin on a regular trip can be hell! 4 guys in a small cabin, no showering, no sleeping and farting up a storm after eating fast food can be an Apocalypse!

:eek:every year I make a coast to coast trip to California, the last return trip was a total of 51 hours from start to finish coming back from Cali to Virginia, 47 actual driving hours, 1 2 hour nap, 2 1 hour naps, 9 stops for gas....I do this every year to visit relatives...

just listen to your body, take a break when you feel it....it is a "zen/in the zone" thing, I have been able to do this many times over the years....not all my trips are full bore, when I have the extra time, I will stop to sightsee and take a couple of extra days...

Doesn't matter. You're not going to be all that rested ... No place to stretch out and lie down. Poor diet, potty breaks, etc. You'll be wasted. You ever done even a 10-hour drive?

besides, increase risk of blood clots from being relatively immobile that whole time.

Bloot clots are a big deal. One of those babies and you're dead. I've done half a dozen trips back and forth across the country, mostly solo and nonstop. It is physically impossible to NOT stop though. You will be so tired by the end of day 1 that you'll want to stop. I'll usually make it through the first 19-20 hours non-stop, take a 3 hour nap and be good to go for the rest of the drive. The last 6 hours are the worst though, and unless I'm in a hurry, I will stop for the sake of safety.

Ok since op opened it up to human factor...
U have nothing to worry about. U have plenty of people to break-up the driving. U will have to stop for gas stops. When u do pee & stretch. U will be fine. Water, food, candy helps.
Besides many long distance car & truck runs, i once rode my motorcycle from florida to new jersey non-stop, with only gas & 1 15 minute food stop. We got there in 22 1/2 hours. Now thats a run.
