    lol... nice. Congrats.

I have an extra cab so I vividly remember praising the day my daughter didn't have to sit rear facing in one of those gargantuan car seats.

Shit your telling me, The front seat has to be almost all the way up to get that thing in. Awesome though, she almost always falls asleep when she is in there. The vibration from regearing, the dark tint = baby sleep.

    Word of advice.

They make these car seat protectors, two piece, one that sits between your baby's car seat and the trucks seat bottom and on that goes up the seat back of the truck.

    Buy it.

You don't have to worry about the seat back one until your baby is forward facing but the amount of stuff/crap that would normally get on your truck's seat is astounding. Not to mention it helps keep the baby's car seat from putting deep grooves into your truck seat's fabric and foam.

I'll take a picture of what I'm talking about because you're probably like, "wtf?"

Nah! I got you. I'm most definitely going to get those. Lucky she only rides in the truck like once a month!

Goddamit, I don't want to have to get a DC with a stupid auto.

My buddy has a 99 Xcab and 2 kids, and somehow he is hanging on to it, and just bought new Michelins for it. Maybe they are both into booster seats now, but what a pain in the Xcab.

Just switch it out to a manual, I wouldn't think it would be that hard. That is what I might do when my auto goes someday.

Switching a 1st gen from a auto to a manual is not that simple. There are a lot of things required to change out. First, after removing everything having to do with the auto you will then of course need the manual transmission, then you have to get a slave cylinder, master cylinder, clutch pedal (to include all of the parts under the dash) and then comes the expensive part: A new ECU since the ECUs are different between a manual and an automatic.

I'm not saying it can't be done, because it can. I've done similar conversions on other trucks. It just gets to be a lot more expensive than one would think. Sometimes it is cheaper to just sell what you have and buy what you want.

    ok... YOURS looks the best
but, generally speaking, I'll take the looks of the 95.5-97 over the 98-00 anyday
    although, i really want an e-locker; so, i'd ultimately take a TRD equiped 98-00 over the TRD-less 95.5-97's (i know i know, there's RARE factory equiped 95-97's with e-lockers)

Looks like the 96 beats the other two best looking year models in sales. I don't know what happened to the 97 owners.
