Wife wants to get a Tonneau Cover for the Taco

I am looking at the ones featured on the front page of the site, but would rather get reviews and suggestions from you all than off of there website.

Pics would help!

Looking for something that will cover the bed but is also fold away or retracable. Dont want to lose the ability to use the bed of the truck

I had an extang, not sure of the model, but it was the soft kind that rolled up. Flappend in the wind all the time, sounded like Helecopters were following me (I'm paranoid enough). Extang did try to fix the problem but nothing worked. I returned it for a fiberglass cap.

 

Access LiteRider has made me happy for my last two trucks. It's a roll up type with locking ability.

I think there might be some photos in my gallery that show it....

 

Just got the Trifecta for my 2009. This is a vinyl trifold.

Much better than the old extangs. No flapping, very good quality and you can take it completely off in 1 minute, leaving nothing behind, the bed is completely usable. Put is back on in 2 minutes. Good price and Highly recommended.

 

I have a BakFlip that folds up. I took it off as I had to haul my daughters stuff from college to he apartment. It worked well. If I were going to buy another today, it might be the Undercover.

I have a Truxedo Lopro and I really like it. It rolls up if you need full bed access and is secure when covering bed. Pretty water tight too! Two years and no problems.

Bakflip is the way to go....you can't beat the versatility. They really worked the bugs out of the 2nd gens.

 

I recommend any of the Access covers (I have the Literider). Call Luke at TruckAlterations.com for the best price.

 

I like my extang trifecta easy on easy off. Keeps the bed desently dry and I dont notice any noise, pics on my page.

I like the Trifecta as well....I don't think they had it available when I bought by BakFlip. But, you can open the BakFlip from one side to fold up the sections. On the Trifecta, it would appear from the pics that you have to walk around to each side to detach and flip the sections back toward the cab? The thing that bugs me the most about these bed covers is that they are so freakin expensive. You buy one, you BETTER like it......

 

how does the extang seal the front of the box and the tailgate?
The bed sides of my 09 are about 1" then the front of the box and tailgate

 

Wasn't real thrilled with the bakflip - you lose the use of the rails.

Extang solid fold - liked it, but it was spending more time off the truck than on (trips to the dump, Lowe's, etc). Have access to the rails and can use the stock tie downs / cleats.

Access L/E - LOVE it. It opens and closes in under a minute, have access to the rails to use the tie downs/cleats. Call Luke @ Truck Alterations for best price

 

Meh. I don't like having the velcro strips glued to my truck. Vandals would slice it up as well........like a ragtop.

 

None of these have anything glued to the truck... there is another one I was looking at that did have something glued... didn't like that idea either.

Yes, vandals can slice it up, but my only other option is to make my own.... like the guy who made one out of diamond plate.
