I personally think he should be shot and pissed on. Here in Canadia that would result in a fix it ticket or nothing at all.

Legal or not.... I think they look cool as shit and I think he did a good job mounting them so they reflect the way they do. You guys can debate the legality all day long (which you have) but the fact remains... I personally like them.


My truck has the BHLM with no reflectors on the side... I'm pretty sure that is illegal also but it didn't stop me from doing it. Lets face it... most of the mods on our trucks would violate some kind of law here or there so I'm not concerned about it.

I've also had 5% window tint on all of my vehicles with the exception of this truck. That is illegal as shit but didn't stop me from doing it. I wold imagine there are a few on here with illegal tint also... so let's get over the legal stuff for now please.

Idk if flashing yellow/amber is. at least in NY where i have family. in the winter you see plow guys running the magnet strobes on the roofs on their trucks all the time, when they are plowing drive ways and parking lots. Most try and plow early morning hours when it is dark and before people get up. I have rod with my cousin a few times and we had the light turned on and even passed cops, and they did not do anything at all.

 

Read my post as it refers to 'non-emergency' personnel & vehicles. Snow removal crews are considered emergency personnel & vehicles so it's not the same as some guy in a truck.

That is a mobile operation and they are under contract with (or in the case of private work, licensed by) the city/county. It's legal.

If they were electrical contractors and leaving the strobes on driving from one job site to the next, 9 times out of 10, the cop will just figure they forgot and point out to them that they're on.
