tested out my new wheels and tires with some serious on-roading!

Thanks for answering my questions the last few months. Went with Toyo Open Country AT2s in 35x12.5, and they are fantastic in the first 24 hours.

Thanks, these replace 315/70r17 ProComp MT2s, so they're roughly the same size. The Toyo's are a pretty aggressive All-Terrain tire, but they are noticeably smoother and quieter.

Northern, Foothills of the Sierra Nevada's to be more specific. Took a ride up to 5000-6000 ft today to take some pics. About 20 degrees cooler up in the trees .

Not sure if youve been off road yet or just have done some serious curb crawling :D
But are you geared any dif then stock? If not how is the acceleration in 2wd vs 4wd (both hi & low) do you have any rubs?

Thanks, im still on the fence about what size tire in the at2 to go with. The price difference for those 35s is around 60$ a tire from the 285x75r17. Its a big diference when I need 5, possibly need a re gear and cut for clearance.

^ I bought the truck pre-owned with the stage 1 ProComp already installed. I still learn something new everyday about what was done before I got it. That being said, I dont know if the previous owner changed gears or not. If I had to guess, they are probably stock.

And I have nothing to compare it to, not sure if the truck accelerates normal or is bogged down at all, as I wasn't able to experience the before and after (if there was one). All I can compare are the tires and it drives the same as the last set, in terms of throttle response. These ATs are just much smoother and quieter.

    Sorry, not much help.

No worries man, thanks for the response. Looking at your build I see there is a lot done to remove most of the PC lift and replace with better, more functional parts. Youve done very well so far and I hope you actually use it the way you have built it :D
I purchased mine full mall crawler as well and have been working hard to remove that.
If everything goes as planned next month I will be sinking a few g`s to do a lot of the same mods you have.. and then some.

I have 295x70r17 on my 6" and I think the 295 is a little wide. I dont think 285s will look bad at all.

I remember seeing some questions about using adjustable coilovers w/ 6" basic kit systems. Here is some pics of my set up with 6" ProComp Stage 1 kit w/ 2.5 non-resi Walker Evans set at about 1.5" lift:
