    No :( I wanted to go Saturday but no one had time free... Are we all still planning on going this Sunday?

    I had some jeep buddies go and they had no problems... but they also wheeled at night

    Detroit True-Track rear limited slip, steering rack bushings, shell, SAF decals, Wheelers 5-leaf & Bilstein 5100's, some nice LED lights from Chris, big-ass bumpers, older-than-dirt owner

    An '01 Honda XR650L. Has the Acerbis 5.8 gal. tank, Renthal desert-bend handlebars, lithium battery for about 8-lb weight savings, sheepskin seat cover, new chain & sprockets, new tires, very well-maintained. Bought it from an Air Force dentist (very cool guy) down in Alamogordo for $2800. Have all the original parts also.

    I haven't gotten it plated yet. :( Been too busy here at work.

    Just in time for all the forests to be closed! :rolleyes:

    Say what? I've lived here for 41 years and have never heard of that road being closed. Are you talking about the paved road to the Crest? Or the back way through Placitas?

    In the least, I have to get this stoopid skidplate mounted. Passenger side steering rack bolts wouldn't cooperate and so I gave up last weekend.

    Should be home from the gym by 1700. Might be running out and getting some diodes and fuses at radioshack and possibly picking up a cordless impact driver from Lowes. Tired of trying to break bolts by hand and don't feel like having an entire compressor setup.

    The plan right now is just to get the skidplate bracket mounted on the steering rack and then test fit to mark off how much of the front mounting lip needs to be cut off.

    I'll text you around 7. I'll need help holding the skidplate in place for the test fit.

    Nice! Make sure you check that countershaft for wear on the splines, they like to destroy themselves on those bikes due to the lack of a Cush drive.
