    why do you like the prime lenses? i hate them, too limiting.
    My ideal set up will be a 10-22, 24-105 and my 100-400. I'll trade in my kit 18-135 when I get the 24-105. Then I'll be happy. Or broke. Or both. :)
    Oh...and my mom thinks she needs a dslr now too. I asked her when the last time she took her little sony cybershot off of "easy mode" was. She couldn't answer me. :rolleyes:

    I've to a canon 30d with the 50mm 1.2 and absolutely love it! When I bought it it was like $300. Best investment I've made in my camera!. Ide love to get a wide angle and a fish eye. I've also been thinking about a lensbaby. Thoes look really fun!.

    Lisa. Do you have any expirence with the lensbabys?

    Working around the crowds at car shows is challenging enough, don't need to complicate it even more with a lens! But I can see your point of forcing yourself to shoot with a certain set up to be more creative. I brought my 100-400 on 2 Yellowstone trips right after I got it and I don't think I took more than 10 shots with it. Then I decided that I needed to get my money's worth out of it and forced myself to use it and nothing else on the next trip. Now I prefer to shoot with it on my trips to the park. Plus I get a better workout lugging it around :laugh:

    I've heard of them but I don't think they're worth the money. Pretty much anything they can do you can do in photoshop.
    I thought about a fisheye lens a while back but I don't think I'd use it enough to justify the cost.
