I should be able to come over. What time are you starting?

What did you end up getting lift wise?

Any plans for a front plate bumper and winch soon?

And I think I can try to swing by, depends on what time I need to drop off the Mrs at the airport

Last thing, are any Sac members going to the Bay Area meet on Friday? Could really use some help picking up a few things I just bought over there from TW members.

Still debating the drive. Why must they move the meet farther away :(

If I do go, I will let you know.

Now that I think about it, I think you are required to keep the parts for at least 6 months before you install.

Isn't that the typical Sacramento install time frame? :)

Longer if you're talking about bumpers. Also bonus points if you have someone hold on to it :p

I don't know...I think it's just clips. Shouldn't be too hard to remove

I took mine off. Do you care about breaking the plastic clips on them? You can get a bag of them off ebay for cheap if you do.

Just unscrew the three or four screws or little bolts on the flare then start pulling off the flare straight out towards you. I got mine off in a couple minutes with the only damage being broken clips. Afterwards you will have the other side of the clips stuck in your fender holes. If you want them out like I did, grab some pliers and pull them out while rotating them. They should pop out no problem.

Okay great! Thanks. This is going to sound really stupid probably, but does it help give you more room for the tire to travel vertical (like stuff it up in the fender)?

I took mine off not because I have backspacing on my wheels that push my tires out a lot or have the TC LT kit with the wider offset but because I didn't want to cut them. As of right now, I had to cut part of my fender near the bottom at an " \ " angle on the drivers side and " / " angle on the passenger..if that makes sense. I have pics in my build thread I think. Basically I took them off so I could keep them pretty and sell them sometime rather than leave them on and hack them up for clearance in tire rubbing at the base. With your tires and your lift (OME I think you said?) you probably won't have to take them off. You can always put on your lift and drive around stuffing your tire to see if they rub.

Here's what I'm talking about. You can see my ghetto cutting job that my flare would have gotten in the way of. That small rectangle hole on the right is where one of the fender clips plugs in to.

But taking them off, would it give more room to prevent from stuffing as much?

That's messed up, I shoulda charged a storage fee

They are super easy, fill your bed full of gravel, make sure you have brand new aggressive MT tires and then hit up any random trails, They will be "uninstalled" in no time! But yeah like Cody said, just unscrew the 3 or 4 bolts and pull em off (you can't save those plastic clips and they are super cheap anyway)

You get like the width of the plastic, which is like maybe 1/4 an inch (if that). So I guess the answer is a negligible amount of wheel well clearance.

Would it be easier to modify the bumps ever so slightly to prevent it from stuffing too high into the wheel well?
